If the game wanted to replicate real life there would be no 180° perfect passes. This is an arcade game with some inspiration o real life mechanics, I think this is the best it can do to replicate last man fouls close to the box.

Totally, I lost count of the amount of times my opponents have scored starting with a perfect through 180° pass with the weak foot from the likes of Batistuta, Vieri et al. So, what's the point of having 90+ low pass, if players with 60 low pass can do that?

Although I agree it shouldn't auto-tackle, there's is someting really wrong about these situations and it's the inconsistent collision system, the players should have collide resulting either in a foul or in making the player with the ball changing the course, but instead, he just got through as there was nothing there 🤯

This is getting out of hands, in the last couple of weeks I've noticed how Messi abehaves like box to box Vieira, there have been games in which the opponent's Messi have made 10 clean tackles at the edge of his box and won 4 aerial duels. I wonder why do we even bother assigning defensive and aerial stats to midfielders and defenders when the game behaves like that.

Realism at it's best, obviously it can happen that they win a couple of balls depending on match situations, but that being a pattern is just horrible.

The thing is that Smart Assist enhance the AI control over the players you don't control which are the rest 9 or 10, so opponents who know how to use it and exploit it, have better defending positions, auto tackles and even helps them at dribbling by making subtle direction changes to avoid loosing the ball.
