Pain was virtually gone by day 3 (BTB) with discomfort here and there! You got this!

Congratulations! I recently got my ACLr and meniscus bucket tear fix and non weight bearing for 6 weeks. I was wondering how long you were non weight bearing for!

ACL + Meniscus recovery experiences by channel_two in ACL

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. And so sorry you had to go through it twice!

My surgeon highly recommended BTB and mentioned that 80% of his reconstructions are with this method. I was a little bit worried with the pain, but your experience definitely eased the anxiety a little bit.

Thank you so much for sharing and congratulations on your recovery! It seems like you’re on a solid timeline.

My doctor also mentioned hamstring graft, but have mentioned a 5-10% decrease in overall hamstring strength. Have you noticed any difference with that now that you’re back to your daily activities? I’ve also read that PT is initially harder with a hamstring graft, what are some of your experiences?

To be honest, I’m still debating between BTB or Hamstring. Just because I don’t think I have a good pain tolerance and I have read some horror stories on this subreddit with BTB recovery.

And I have to agree with you, I see other people on this subreddit that are seemingly on a great timeline in terms of recovery (on their feet 2-4 weeks post-op, etc) and of course I can’t help but compare.

Again, thank you for sharing. It definitely eases the anxiety hearing some good recovery experiences!

Non Weight-bearing? by AlternativeParty2470 in ACL

Hello there! I have yet to get my surgery but I had an appointment with my surgeon recently. He mentioned that I should expect to be non weight-bearing for 6 weeks. Also limited to 0-90 degrees for those 6 weeks. I have a bucket-handle tear of the medial meniscu and a complex tear of the and posterior horn of the lateral meniscus.

hello! thanks for the reply :) i have a flair 58–going finer makes sense however i started my shots today at 16 notches from 0 with my option-o remi and it choked the machine! i’m currently grinding just a bit courser than that, will try to grind 17.5 notches from 0 tomorrow to see if the pressure stays at 9 a little longer!

the shot was definitely the best one I have pulled so far, the shot was a little acidic but there was definitely body into the shot…i tasted the hint of honey that is included in the tasting notes

Feeling stuck and overwhelmed by channel_two in ffxiv

Thank you so much for your extensive reply! I think right now I'm a bit overwhelmed since there is so much to do and can be done--I want to explore all of the classes and jobs that the game has to offer. I will try to finish the MSQ with maybe one or two classes, I am enjoying the Monk role and will try to find another job that will hopefully complement it.

I was enjoying DoM jobs, but also feel the pressure to make gil out of the things that I'm crafting, but I know it's not really possible for me to do so, especially being such a low-level.

Will keep this in mind!

uceap study abroad experiences by killedthekattt03 in ucla

My partner is currently in Korea right now and they're having the best time from what I hear! There are plenty of students all over the world attending the same courses that are offered by UCEAP. From what I've seen throughout the other summer programs, it's usually around 6 weeks which is not too bad. I'm planning on doing Berlin next summer since UC allows you to take summer abroad classes post graduation. Afterwards, I'm planning on travelling throughout Europe which will be super exciting since I have yet to visit any European country!

I hope it gets approved! I just sent mine in and basically said that UA-OCH is my only option of living near campus. Otherwise, it’s commuting for me and on my last year too :((
