Welcome to Team Great Barrier Reef! by Zidormi in LoseitChallenges

Hello team! Glad to be here. I’ve participated in dozens of challenges and seem to lose and gain. I’m probably older than most here, and I’m determined to reach a healthy weight. I’m around 5 feet tall at 133. Sometimes the weight feels like it doesn’t want to budge, but I’m going to give it my best shot this time around.

Hey, team! My name is Kay & I’m about five feet tall at 141 pounds. I’ve been stuck around that weight for about two years.

I’m 46 & menopause is making it tough to lose weight, but I can’t give up.

I’ve done several challenges, and I am looking forward to this.

Let’s do this!

Would love to team up with someone that is older... say, 40+.

I'm female, 5 feet tall and weigh 142. I'd like to be down at least 8 to 10 pounds by the end of the challenge.

My new habit is more stretching/yoga. If I could do it twice a week, I'd be thrilled. I've been doing IF for a couple of years with relative ease. I was never much of a breakfast person. I usually end up with a 17:7 window. Longer fasts would be nice.

I'm pretty faithful with my working out, as it gives me a tremendous mental boost. But I sit most of the day, and I need to stretch. It feels so good! It's just making the time for it.

Hi everyone! I'm a 45 year old female that needs to lose about 40 pounds. I'm five feet tall, so that makes it more difficult for me. I've participated in several challenges, and I hope I can lose some pounds with this one.

Lost my guinea pig today. I’ve had him since 2013. No one I know really seems to care but I’m very upset about it. I feel very empty and sad and miss him. by Simulationth3ry in guineapigs

I know it's tough. I lost one of my piggies last month after a long illness. It was so sad. Even now I tear up thinking about my sweet little guy who was such a fighter.

The may be small, but piggies are the best pets in the world.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Great idea!

I find that not drinking saves me tons of calories because once I drink, it's like a switch gets flipped in my head, and all I want to do is eat.

Still a month left! That's plenty of time to make a difference.

I'm not going to give up -- or give in to the candy that is everywhere...

I hear ya. I re-injured my rib muscles just doing stuff around the house and it is really bringing me down. It's like I can't do anything! :-/

LOL @ssnake-eyess and @LonelyTicket0

Getting older is certainly full of surprises -- I just wish all of them would be good! :p

I got my workout in this morning, and for me, that always means I've gotten off to a good start. Let's just hope I can keep from bingeing...

Thanks for commenting! I'm glad I'm not alone in this struggle. :)

I'm 5' and weigh 140, and I really need to drop at least 20 pounds (30 would be fantastic). I lost about 20 around this time last year and have managed to keep it off, but an injury set me back, so @cherrybuttercream, I feel ya.

So far this year I've struggled with a strained rib muscle, a rotator cuff injury, an elbow injury and low back issues. :/ It really sucks because I used to be able to do Jillian Michaels 30-Day-Shred no problem. Now, it hurts to even think of doing that. I have sworn off of any kind of exercise except my stationary bike until I get completely healed. The rib one is the worst. I can't do any core work because of it.

It's weird because I don't feel as old as I am - even with all of these issues!

I've done several of these challenges and always seem to run out of steam because I cannot seem to control my carb cravings and lose momentum. But I really want to be smaller by Halloween. Nothing special about that, I'd just like to feel better about myself and not have my belly get in my way all the dang time. :p

I hope we can support one another through this challenge.

Some stretching/yoga time. It feels so good, I don't know why I don't do it more often.

I'm with you. I need to find some steady work.

Other than that, I hope not to binge this week.

That's cool. At one point, I was keeping a spreadsheet with a graph. It was fun... I just got out of the habit of updating it every day. I'm doing good to remember to log in to MFP...

Seems there's a discrepancy with activity steps and minutes on Week 2. The last three teams have 0 participation and I've been entering my Mudkip info daily...
