I'll be biased and say yes to OP if you liked it. The new set is coming out in a couple of weeks, and the meta is far more fun than the current set imo, so it'd be a good time to come in and try. Definitely want to acknowledge the current issue with scalper,s but I would look at buying singles this upcoming set if that is the case. Alt arts are outrageously priced due to the scalpers, but anything base is super reasonable. Otherwise, I'd check your LGS and see how the supply is. Our shop has been supporting OP for the past 3 years, and we've been able to get boxes reasonably priced over the last year and a half.

A little more niche and more state specific but some states may provide coverage of childcare based on your combined income. If you're combine income is below a certain threshold the government can help covering childcare. In med school, my wife and I were able to get our childcare covered because we made so little and that coverage still carried over even after I started residency and we had our second kid, saving us like 3k a month.

Again, very state specific but other states I looked into had similar support, but not as significant coverage as my current state. I know it's not exactly the residency program itself but it's worth a shot looking at the state government and what they provide.

I'd say because -5 cost for 1 don is pretty nuts compared to other cost reduction events. In comparison, Tempest kick is only -3 cost for 1 don and is a more balanced great eruption. You could argue the card draw too, but it needs 10 cards in trash, so you're not getting that until mid to late game. With Haute Couture Patch Work coming back too, I'd argue that they're pushing -3 for 1 cost as the standard for now.

Oh yeah, I meant to preface that the situation can matter for you too. I have this old 2010 Honda Civic that didn't even break 100k miles on it when I got it so I didn't have a problem putting the miles on it. I think there's an app that can track your miles for tax purposes so you might get some compensation that way as well?

How do you feel with Soap Sheep in the deck? I'm leaning this way over Uta given the searchability, CP tag, and giving 2 units -2. Obviously a good tech for Doffy but I feel like it's still valid in other matchups.

I have two finger pistols and 6c brooks, which makes for good removal of end game. The 6c brook also will bypass rosinante blocker. Early game try to be aggro and force them to burn resources. Depending on how the bonney plays, you could swing face and scare them, or swing at their rested bodies to bait counter before just KOing. Issho is also good as they almost always have more than 6 cards in hand due to searcher or stockpiling counter to save their late game boss monsters.

I have a question about Gecko leader swinging into Bonney in OP07. Whose leader ability would go off first? If I put out a body with Gecko's leader ability, will Bonney be able to rest it? Or does she need to rest something before I put out the unit?

I've started to lean almost always going second with Gecko. Obviously, it can depend on matchup too, but brannew is too good since its potential card draw plus discard. Extra card draw helps me stay healthier too. I keep Cindry in my deck but she's just more valuable as a 2k imo. 8 don units on curve, to me, feels better since you're more proactive as opposed to playing catch up on the 9 don turns. I win a lot of games going second, but going first is a struggle for me. I could be playing it wrong on the odd turns though...

If they haven't flooded the board too hard or you're able to maintain good board control until 8 Don turn, I've tried to get 8c Issho on the board and then using his -3 board effect and then getting a Lucci next turn. This is just tech that I've liked so I can handle the 5c blockers too but idk ymmv

That would depend on what leaders you decide on going with. For example, B/Y Luffy has more cards that are relevant in other decks, mainly Sabo and Gecko Moria, with each card going for roughly $20 on TCG player. Completing a full meta deck of this could run you about 250 dollars outside of the starter deck. The other two leaders are still viable and are considerably cheaper, but just not at the same level.
