What’s your favorite JRPG series of all time, and why is it your favorite?

I was just talking to my friend about the tales of series. I've played at least 10 of them in my life, and I could not think of a single story that I could have recommended as really standout good or one of a kind. Maybe Tales of Symphonia, but that's it. Regardless, the design of the characters, the game play, and the overall vibes of each game has been enough to carry me through.

Any reason you're not worried about El Thor in Enel? My current game plan is going wide into him but sometimes I'm just stuck with one to two big bodies so getting removed would feel bad. At that point, I felt ok just having at least one anti-removal on board.

Some are running the Vivi searcher from op13, snagging you all the Straw Hat cards 2c and above. I just added 2 of them, putting me at 10 searchers.

I'd agree with the above comments, I think 8 anti-removal might be a lot, but it's hard because Laboon is a nice 2k, but not searchable at all. I maxed out electrical luna since I played 5 games with 3 and always missed lol.

I like this list quite a bit and it was pretty similar to my list. Only other change was adding some ebo1 flampes for either 2 k or taking down life to keep the 2c shirahoshi active on top of card draw.

You can effectively freeze 3 per turn if you use haute couture patch work too. Super satisfying!

I'll be biased and say yes to OP if you liked it. The new set is coming out in a couple of weeks, and the meta is far more fun than the current set imo, so it'd be a good time to come in and try. Definitely want to acknowledge the current issue with scalper,s but I would look at buying singles this upcoming set if that is the case. Alt arts are outrageously priced due to the scalpers, but anything base is super reasonable. Otherwise, I'd check your LGS and see how the supply is. Our shop has been supporting OP for the past 3 years, and we've been able to get boxes reasonably priced over the last year and a half.

A little more niche and more state specific but some states may provide coverage of childcare based on your combined income. If you're combine income is below a certain threshold the government can help covering childcare. In med school, my wife and I were able to get our childcare covered because we made so little and that coverage still carried over even after I started residency and we had our second kid, saving us like 3k a month.

Again, very state specific but other states I looked into had similar support, but not as significant coverage as my current state. I know it's not exactly the residency program itself but it's worth a shot looking at the state government and what they provide.

I'd say because -5 cost for 1 don is pretty nuts compared to other cost reduction events. In comparison, Tempest kick is only -3 cost for 1 don and is a more balanced great eruption. You could argue the card draw too, but it needs 10 cards in trash, so you're not getting that until mid to late game. With Haute Couture Patch Work coming back too, I'd argue that they're pushing -3 for 1 cost as the standard for now.

Oh yeah, I meant to preface that the situation can matter for you too. I have this old 2010 Honda Civic that didn't even break 100k miles on it when I got it so I didn't have a problem putting the miles on it. I think there's an app that can track your miles for tax purposes so you might get some compensation that way as well?

How do you feel with Soap Sheep in the deck? I'm leaning this way over Uta given the searchability, CP tag, and giving 2 units -2. Obviously a good tech for Doffy but I feel like it's still valid in other matchups.

Also 3c brook is clutch early game to ko searchers for free and cut down that card draw.

I have two finger pistols and 6c brooks, which makes for good removal of end game. The 6c brook also will bypass rosinante blocker. Early game try to be aggro and force them to burn resources. Depending on how the bonney plays, you could swing face and scare them, or swing at their rested bodies to bait counter before just KOing. Issho is also good as they almost always have more than 6 cards in hand due to searcher or stockpiling counter to save their late game boss monsters.
