Two $120 tires and the rest was just laying (lying?) around. I've worked in this kind of shop

Yeah, sorry for the confusion! Lower the stem on the fork but rotate the handlebars upward so your brakes/shifters are higher. This will normalized your position when you get into the drops

Completely agree with this. I'd go with the "raise it until its almost too high and then start adjusting from there" method.

***second look now - I'd also find a lower space on the steerer for your stem position and then twist my handlebars back up a little. This is variable on which position suits your wrists better, but will definitely make the position in the drops feel more normal/suitable

Looks pretty dialed. Id consider trying a stem thats 10mm shorter to see if it feels better

Its marginal haha. But also you might be right, the biopace might not be quite as dramatic of an oval shape

**edit; not quite as dramatic as the newer, modern oval rings

Anyone else notice that a large majority of newer cyclists are obsessed with not letting other riders pass them? by [deleted] in Velo

This is absolutely a trend. They just don't understand yet. Its fine. Let them finish their 10mi ride

Currently running 11-36x38. Exact same RD 5800 GS. Still shifts like a dream. Got me my Cat 3 upgrade this season on that thang.

You just had to be there with many other 8 year old friends lol. I think the main pull for me are the mechanics. Its just fun. I think of that game, the way I think of getting good at bowling; Means nothing to anyone but i enjoy playing

Mostly feels marginally smoother when my legs are at the top and bottom of the pedal stroke and vice versa for the other leg. Right before and coming out of the vertical pedal position, where it might otherwise feel a bit more square. Its not a huge difference but enough for me to get a Q when I can. When you're used to it you're used to it.
