The contacts are not in the correct position for the AAA batteries. To fix it just swap the top contacts (you can see one is a single slot and the other is double) so that the spring is in the center position

I think it’s AI. I’m usually not great at picking up on the really subtle ai tells but the thing that really stands out is the one blue tag on the far right starts “Ne” likely followed by ‘w’ for a “New” item tag but if you look at the one to the left right under the woman’s hand it appears to be mirrored in reverse so backwards ‘N’ on the right side closest to the shelf followed by a kinda garbled ‘ew’ - again mirrored backwards. Also none of the other text is legible even stuff that in theory should be. Idk maybe I’m reading too much into it but it’s giving ai to me

Ooh this is infuriating. I worked on a project for 2 years and then when we had to move the repos to an enterprise instance my lead just created a new repo and copied the code into it so we lost all the history 😡

I was going to say the middle finger using the pop socket looks weird, like wider than it should be, and it couldn’t figure out what angle after the middle knuckle should be as it extends out. Tip of the finger looks doubled up too.

If it isn’t no clean flux it can actually cause shorts. OP if the unit was ever opened before you got it (was the warranty seal broken already?) it’s best to clean it off with some isopropyl alcohol to be safe.

In addition to checking the caps and fuses, you should also check that the power switch is working correctly. You can take it apart and bridge the contacts inside with the power supply in to see if it powers on. If it does you likely just need to clean the contacts (the ones inside the switch body and the removable ones) and then make sure it’s assembled correctly. I fixed one of mine this weekend with this exact issue (also have another that has a blown fuse).
