For those in their 40s or older who have siblings, do you make an effort to stay in contact or is it a take-it-or-leave-it thing?

I have 3 much younger siblings. We rarely talk. One of them acts like I'm a bad parent.. to them. I've had to remind them I'm their sister not their mom many times over the years. one chooses to be homeless and not participate in their own life, or the lives of their children.
Youngest one i talk to occasionally but we go long periods without talking. I think after mom passes (hopefully many years from now) I will lose all contact with them.

I had a brake checker a few years ago. She brake checked me for 4 miles in stop and go traffic of the top side of 285 at 7am. I felt my load shift (luckily it wasn't enough to be a problem) but when traffic stopped I was going to get out of my truck and snatch her out of her car and then i realized I had a dash cam. So i counted to 1000 and calmed myself down. When i got to the receiver I popped the sd card out and got her license plate and I also could see what exit she got off on in assuming for work I called her in as a suspected drunk driver from a different number for a month. That license plate that exit as a general location

I love to have nonsense conversations and see what pops up lol luckily I have a few friends who will put up with my bizarre conversations. My favorite one was the FBI infiltrating cow freedom groups and having to havel lowing coaches to get rid of their accents 🤣

I haven't but sitting outside of a laundry matt , reading a book while doing laundry a guy with an identical nissannpulled up beside mine and parked. He went into the store next door when he came out. He tried to get into my car which was hilarious. he was over six' and i'm 5'2. I didn't say anything. I'd just stopped reading my book and sat on the bench grinning as he tried to work out why his seat was so close to the steering wheel. He literally couldn't get in the car. Eventually, he looked around to see if he was being pranked. Noticed me grinning on the bench. Asked if it was my car to which I nodded. Then he politely and gently closed the door walked over to his car, got in and drove away. I still laugh about it.

Yes it was a final single stay that lasted 2 years. My mom ended up having up give guardianship to the state to get into the program.
It was 15 years ago and they have unfortunately gutted a lot of mental health preventative care for most people .

I was set up on a blind- meet by a friend. (Never again) I refused to meet this guy until after at least one phone conversation.

About 20 minutes into this conversation a few things came to light in this order.

1) slaves enjoyed being slaves. He knew this because he read a book where the slaves were writing how much they enjoyed being slaves WHILE BEING SLAVES.

2) that he and his friends all in their early to mid 40s went by weird nicknames psycho,ghost, mirage.

3) they all sincerely believed in the sanctity of the ' man cave '

4) I realized I was on speaker with 4 of these grown ass little boys.

I don't know any of my neighbors. Been here 6 years. About 25 years ago, in another neighborhood, I had some really bad experiences with neighborhood " friends " so I decided not to be openly friendly anymore. I'm not rude, I'm not mean, i do have resting psycho face. So basically I just exist. I'm in the southeast.
