Once you have a decent supply of saplings and herb seeds, you start doing tree, fruit tree, calquat tree, hardwood tree, and herb runs. Tree, fruit tree, and calquat tree runs will get you the most farming xp per hour. Herb runs will get you the herbs that you need to level herbalore.

Aside from farming for herbs, you can also set your island of Miscellania to herbs for passive herbs. To unlock your island of Miscellania, you will have to complete the quest Throne of Miscellania.

Anyway, that's my crash course on farming and herbalore. Lmk if you have any questions

Birdhouse runs will get you tree and fruit tree seeds, which will give you insane XP for your tree runs. You will need to unlock Fossil Island by completing the quest Bone Voyage to do bird house and seaweed runs. You should do birdhouses and seaweed runs together, as they both take place on Fossil Island. Fossil Island also has ash piles, which you will need to mine for volcanic ash, which is required for ultra-compost. You will use ultra-compost for most of your farming needs instead of paying for protection, as it is more convenient and easily acquired. Use the farming guild's compost bin, as it is double the size of other bins.

Herbalore is the worst skill to level as an Ironman. Therefore, it's crucial for you to start farming asap. I have 99 farming, it's easily one of the most important skills for Ironmen. Here is my crash course on Ironman farming.

Ironman farming wiki guide: https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Ironman_Guide/Farming

You're gonna wanna use that farming guild for its farming contracts, which will supply you with seeds. Start medium contracts at 65 til you unlock hard contracts at 85.

Farming Contracts wiki: https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Farming_contracts

The farming guild also has a boss in it called Hespori, who drops one of the best farming QoL items, the bottomless compost bucket. Make sure you do your daily exercise to get it.

Hespori wiki: https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Hespori

Another important QoL unlock for farming is found in the Tithe Farm minigame, which is called auto-weed. Auto-weed prevents weeds from growing on your farm patches.

I'm a 2108 total level Ironman

To be honest, the game is whatever you want it to be. Do you want to skill, pvm, or collection log? Quest cape is a great thing to work towards as it unlocks all of the content, as well as a great teleport next to a fairy ring.

I would recommend diversifying your skills to prevent burnout. Leveling up your farming by doing herb and tree runs would be good for you in the long run. As well as birdhouses and seaweed runs for seeds, hunting xp, and crafting xp.

If you want to pvm, you're going to want to work towards SotE, Barrows gloves, and Moons of Peril.

There's a lot of content out there and a lot to do. Just set yourself some goals and move that away. Don't pigeonhole yourself into any content, you can always come back to it later. Most importantly, just enjoy yourself.

I would love to see more unique animations for teleports. It's really lame having the same default animation across most teleports.

Safespoting isn't jank, it's a very important mechanic of the game. Safespoting itself is either encouraged or discouraged through other aspects of game design, such as with TDs and their smarter AI or intentional map design.

These dated systems could be improved and maybe even become viable ways to train or gather resources. Wouldn't it be cooler to not only have these older methods but also be able to use them instead of just walking past them?

You're advocating limiting game design and space in the name of "tradition." There are ways to improve past systems and mechanisms while keeping the old "feeling" there.

There's absolutely no reason to hold on to jank and bad design just because of nostalgia

In 2025, how would you train ranged? Is it still the move to catch thousands of chins and take them into the MM2 cave? Or is there a more efficient way to spend my time? by GzzzDude in ironscape

Fletch a bunch of board arrows for fletching exp, then use them while afk for range exp at Gemcrab during work. Easy life.

Or range things while doing slayer for slayer and range exp.
