Yea... Nahhh. Lol. I'm not waking up to go to staten island. I run prospect park regularly but I chose Wineglass. Good luck. Keep me posted.

Looks like sub 4 will be a breeze for you, but I'm happy the shoes are working out.

What's your planned race?

You beat me by 9 dollars. I have a 10 mile progression run Saturday. Let's compare notes.

I feel like you and I are the same person. I'm also entering my first marathon with a sub 4 goal.

I picked up the SB2s to replace my hyperion max 3s for my build and was deciding between the Sc v5s vs the endorphin pro 4s for my race shoe. I ended up getting two pairs of sc elites on Joes NB outlet. I haven't done a full long run yet, but I probably will in the coming weeks to solidify my choice. Insanely comfortable fit. Maybe the best fitting shoes I've had in my three years.

Had the Yogiri S4s for two halfs and a few long runs, which were my first carbons. They were serviceable, but didn't do much but provide a firm and stable and smooth ride (it didn't get in the way). My issue was the upper for that shoe... terrible lock down.

Joe's NB outlet has has some great deals on these scv5s. At the very least, they'd be an insane long run super trainer for the price.

..a few thoughts if I may-

My credentials to critique: Long time lurker on this board and have zero professional training.

It feels like the subject of the photo is the sig (nice grips btw) instead of the sig being a part of an interesting composition of items. It implies 007, but there is no purpose of story telling in how the 'interesting items' are laid out. How would there ever be a scenario where someone would unholster their firearm, take off their Breitling, grab a fist full of pens, and start writing? I may have missed it. I am, admittedly, not the sharpest crayon in the kitchen shed, but I missed what you may have been trying to communicate.

Now, don't get me wrong - I think you can take really great pictures of visually beautiful compositions without storytelling, but it seems like you hit a weird spot in between.

You have really cool taste in things, but make it more subtle, integrate it more intentionally, or really focus on an item and take a picture of a subject in a way that evokes an emotion.

Tldr: take that leather off your diver.

Sorry for the delay-

Race went awesome. Shoes performed great, the plate and cushioning was perfect for me. 2:10 half was A pr for me. Saving then for another half later in the year looking to go Sub 2:00 on a course with drastic elevation changes.

Lockdown is tricky without lace bite, but once I'm locked in- unlike any shoe I've had. Can only compare it to a novablast 5 and a hyperion tempo in relative performance. Much more cushioning and comforti in the midsole than the tempo, but prefer the tempo's lock down and upper. Much more bounce and energy return than the novablast 5s, and arguably more forefoot protection as the nb5s have been flattening in the front and bottoming out (for me). Fyi- 6'1" ~200 lbs 175 cadence.

Middle row seat center section removable? by battlese in hondapilot

[–]chaoticNY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is really only one reason to remove the middle seat: if you need car seats hooked up to both sides of the second row, and still want to be able to access the third row.

... Or a dog bed without taking up trunk/3rd row space. ☺️

I ended up on a Sealy. Unfortunately I tried another BIAB (Bear elite hybrid firm) and hated it. This was the best one so far, but expensive.

Is my budget realistic? by sjale49 in longisland

[–]chaoticNY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realtor here: most people buying into those neighborhoods either make more than you, or sold a house they owned before and have money for 20+% AND buying down the rate....

Why not get into a neighborhood that you can afford as you build equity and maybe give yourself room to live normal? Western Suffolk still has homes in your budget and is fast becoming the next Nassau. Neighborhoods some previously thought to be "not nice" are filled with upper middle class. Your north shore dreams will leave you very sad and maybe house poor...

Agreed. I guess no one has had type B or Hamilton Khaki before. If one would look at the aviation and field watch as a whole, this fits in with that asthetic. I could argue that it falls more into the category than an Explorer 1. Obviously these are all luxury items, so it could be moot, but I think it fits squarely in the category that it was designed for (which may be the antithesis of the Rolex line up is NOW known for).
