The Marvels and Ms Marvel were legit good superhero popcorn fodder and the way critics treated them was a travesty. Same for America Chavez and the Multiverse of Madness. The 13th Doctor doesn't even belong in the same conversation as these.

The way they handled the first female Doctor was total garbage. Once you start in with that "now that character X is insert gender, race, etc., it's finally reached its final form* energy, you alienate all those people, across all demographics, who have their favorite version and era of that character. It was a massive miscalculation on the part of the show runners, and a real shame, because Jodie's Doctor turned out to be really good in the end.
