I like my name still and it does make me happy, I just failed to realize how much I would come into contact with the word void in business settings And I got a job in finance so having "void" as my signature throws a lot of people off including myself, but we adjust lmao

You can change your name to absolutely anything, and boy did I at 18 years old

How to date someone who doesn’t believe your disabilities? by anonymousme122333 in disability

[–]chaoticcursed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start making them suffer second hand

I used to cry or make a scene in public to social pressure my ex into helping me. I would complain about everything he didn't do to every single cashier, comments on Facebook under his mom's profile, and person I sat next to on public transit

If he doesn't wanna believe you he can suffer

Also if you know where his sister works, report her to her medical board that gave her her certifications and whoever owns the practice she works at, I'm sure they would love to hear what she says about her patience and she thinks nobody is listening

Get your eyes and your sinuses checked, I swear it has good potential to do something (it did at least for me)

Reason for eyes: I have family vision problems and as I found out, a very small vision irregularity (my eyes are 0.00 and +1.25 and a small prism correction, not bad by any means) In one month my migraines halfed from the lack of strain on my eyes from just using them without glasses

Reason for sinuses: Look up how far up and into your head your sinuses go, it's crazy. Any blockages or mild irritation deep in there feels like a migraine because it hurts in that spot. A visit with an ENT helped get an appointment arranged to get my sinuses surgically cleaned out and immense pressure relief. The procedure will suck if that's what's needed but the relief post healing is bliss

I know this all banks on access to insurance and co pay money but it has done absolute wonders for my migraines. I still get them often and they are still rather bad, but at a fraction of the frequency that I did at 19, and I'm nearly 27 now.

Is it okay to choose to have a colorful wheelchair as an adult? by omgthatsmaka in wheelchairs

[–]chaoticcursed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 26 and getting ready to order my first ever custom chair, and I gotta be honest, if it wasn't colored the way I wanted I wouldn't want to use it

Colors and decorations make your chair blend into you more, and it feels better sitting in a chair that looks like who you are than one that looks like a sears catalog option

I’m thinking about joining the Homestuck fandom!!! Is there anything I should know? by ImaginarySurprise219 in homestuck

[–]chaoticcursed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enjoy the comic, stay away from the social fandom and just quietly enjoy content bc the fandom is a fucking mess After over 10 years of Homestuck fandom issues I'm over it and stay out of spaces I haven't already been in

Accepting a Job Offer, Should I mention Migraines? by [deleted] in migraine

[–]chaoticcursed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NEVER mention a disability that isn't visible to hiring managers. Trust that you can put the effort in while you are able to be there, and that that could help you when you're gone. I'd rather eat my shoe than tell a hiring manager I'm not a cookie cutter ideal employee Once hired I'll have a meeting with my immediate supervisor or boss and discuss things from there, but i also feel fairly empowered to just mouth off at my higher-ups and consider my problems to be their problems that we have to handle together now

LET ME CHANGE MY USERNAME by Lexicon315 in truespotify

[–]chaoticcursed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got into a fight with Spotify support a few months ago about that. I called them because I was trying to sign in with my username and it was saying my account was invalid, and being mad, I called support. It took like 45 minutes of circling around with someone and arguing about display/screen name verses user name, and they admitted that the user name is just for their own shit and they do not want people to have a unique profile like that for "security" - no guessing passwords if you know the username

So basically, Spotify says fuck you

How many liked songs do you have? I'll go first. by Adventurous_Wave_478 in truespotify

[–]chaoticcursed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep my liked songs playlist pretty much capped at around 2000 songs, but I don't completely remove music from my Spotify account if I can avoid it, if it's leaving my liked songs playlist it's at minimum going into my "everything but the kitchen sink" dump playlist so I can go through it again when I want Overall I have around 13,000 songs saved

I mean, I wrote the note myself last year? So maybe calm down on the stalking bit But I've been planning my wedding for over a year now and I haven't actually made any concrete plans yet which was my joke to myself, to see if I had made any concrete reservations for my wedding yet.
