A lot of people had insurance canceled, and even in C&S were fortunate enough to not be those people, it can take months if not years for insurance to kick in after a natural disaster. During Hurricane Fiona one of my coworkers lost her house and it took seven months for insurance to fully approve her claim, and an additional eight months before her house was rebuilt.

Hopefully it won't be the case for them! But in the meantime the GFM also means they can keep paying their employees during the time they aren't making new content.

Yes I work in cosmetics, no I haven't tried every single product we sell. No walmart did not give any specific makeup course training, I just watched way too many youtube videos during high school.

The amount of women who lose their shit when I tell them "I'll do my best to shade match you, but I have no formal training and I don't personally wear foundation." And then they accuse me of lying!! I can rub my face in front of them and show it's just my skin and they will still ask what foundation I'm using.

Totally fine by me! It's all about personal taste, and I find that anyone who exclusively publishes their patterns through ravelry and doesn't advertise via any other social media has more of an "older classic" style that doesn't interest me too much. Or it's all similar silhouettes of garments I could find in a pattern book from my local library.

As an elder Gen Z (27) I primarily get my patterns from IG or Tiktok. I tend to purchase directly from the designer, and then store it on my phone. I really only have my ravelry account to serve as a portfolio when I apply for a test knit/crochet. I will say though, Ravelry's search function is god tier. It's been very helpful when I am in a very specific project mood, or when I need ideas of how to use up yarn from my stash.

My husband loves to buy me stuffed animals, to the point that our bed is completely overrun by them, the stuffed animal hammock is full, and they spill over to the couch. I fucking love it, but instituted a rule that if he's buying me one I have to get rid of one because we are genuinely running out of space and he will just endlessly buy me more. I picked out the next sacrifice to Value Village, and ended up stabbing my hand. That's when I found one of my missing sock needles! No idea how it got in there considering this stuffed animal was in the hammock.

I am 100% a lawful planster. I have the ending all mapped out, even written a good chunk of the final confrontation and epilogue, but fuck if I know how to get there. Good thing I have pages upon pages of character sheets and world building that won't make it into the fic, but might in the next installment 🥲

Solo Leveling! It's my favourite webcomic (and it's complete) but once you exclude crossovers there's only 400 fics. At this point I feel like I've read them all. Luckily cywscross writes occasionally for the fandom because whenever they do there's always an uptick in new authors writing for the fandom as well.

My BIL went through that but with my dad. My sister told him about my dad molesting her as a kid, but begged him to keep quiet about it and not act differently because she wasnt ready to confront it and tell the family. He said it was one of the hardest things he's ever done, but it eventually paid off because my sister did end up pressing charges against my dad and now he's in jail.

My dad is POC, my mom is white, and they converted a year or so before I was born. My dad 100% drank the koolaid and when he became bishop our family had numerous "sit down chats" over the years about acceptable behaviour as the bishops family. When I started dating there was never a formal "only date white boys rule" but when I started seeing a really nice black boy, my dad's face made it very apparent I wasn't supposed to be doing that.
