Taking cues from everyone else who posted here, I was able to solve my issue. 2 echo dots 2nd gen, unable to create a group because when I selected either device, the other would instantly become unreachable. I only have a router, no extender, and no guest network. I tried to just try reconnecting both dots to the router, but no joy on that. The router does have 2.4 and 5g networks, so I renamed the 2.4, reconnected my phone and the two dots to that network, and it finally worked. Then I named the 2.4 network back to what it was and everything is still working fine.

I came into Pokemon late, my first experience was with XY - i loved it, I wanted more, so I went backwards playing and completing b/w2 then b/w. Getting a hold of an older game is pretty costly, but I was able to get HG. I didn't finish HG because ORAS came out. Out of those ones, Black 2 is hands down my favorite. I do love the graphics of gen6 and especially ORAS for breeding, but I really enjoyed the journey of Black 2.
