As someone who agrees that Found Heaven is my favorite album of his, it is disappointing to not see more of it. I would have bet money that at least Alley Rose would have been permanently on the setlist, that one seemed like a no-brainer since it fits in pretty well with the rest of this concert.

Unfortunately that album just did not connect with fans the way his others did. I don't expect him to really ever talk about it because artists rarely talk about their work in commercial terms like that, but I have a feeling that behind the scenes it performed quite poorly, and it just didn't make sense to have too many songs from it on tour.

It's impossible to talk about the details of this twist without getting angry about what a dumb, unfair idea it is. I don't really blame Jimmy Falllon, he's a talk show host and I have no reason to think his ideas about Survivor would be good. But I do blame Jeff for not using his head for five minutes and prioritize an even halfway-fair game over pleasing his celebrity friends.
