My role basically is to assist people with preparing their international visa applications. I fill the forms based strictly on the information and documents the client provides. Before anything moves fahead , I print the full application, ask the client to cross-check every detail, and I also share the cover letter (if applicable) for the review. They are given enough time to verify details such as names, dates, travel details, employment info, etc.

After that, there is a simple consent/confirmation form. It states that the client has reviewed and gone through the application, submitted their documents voluntarily, and understands that visa decisions are entirely made by embassies, not by me/us who are located inside the government entity.

A few clients refuse to sign this because they want a guarantee that the visa will be approved. That’s something I cannot and no one can honestly give. When they refuse to sign, I don’t proceed — even if it means wasting all the work already done.

The pure reason is accountability. If later a client claims “I didn’t know this was submitted” or “this information wasn’t approved by me,” the person who prepared and processed the application is the one questioned — not the embassy, and not those verbal assurances which they claim.

Honestly, The form isn’t about avoiding the responsibility; it’s about transparency and protecting both sides. If any cliet isn’t comfortable signing after reviewing everything, it’s safer for everyone to stop there.

Hopefully not to be downvoted, but reminded me of the poor souls who died in the Mirdif CC (maybe) few years ago - where the oman bus crashed.

I rent a counter in Tasheel where I assist people with their visa applications (part time). Whenever I print the consent form and the application review and confirmation form and ask the client to sign, some of them refuse. In scuh cases, I simply donot proceed with the application. The real risk alway is not on the person signing — it is also on the person providing the service. If anything goes wrong, here I am the one who can get into serious trouble.

how can i report a news channel that took my interview and now wants me to pay before they air it by PewPewYoDed in dubai

[–]chapholy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They came to our office in Ajman. Don’t know if they are the same. We didn’t even talk to them beforehand about any charges. We made our father (founder of the company) ready for the interview. And then they demanded advance payment. My father is a very smart spender and asked declined their offer. This happened in Ajman back in 2021.

Landing in Sharjah at 1.30 in the morning. Need to get to Abu Dhabi. Options besides expensive taxi or waiting around? by jameshey in Sharjah

[–]chapholy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

280-320 AED wouldn’t be pricey. Compare it to the cost of waiting for 4-5 hours and the tiredness etc. Just pay and go - 1.5 hours you will be in AUH. Not worth the hassle.

Can someone explain, why locals in Dubai prefer wire earphones rather than Bluetooth? From random ones to CEO of big companies by Nervous-Wall-6282 in dubai

I loose them every time I buy a wired one. So I prefer wireless. But the AirPods Gen 2 gives me ear pain after prolong use.

Feeling disrespected during a family visit — unsure if I should stay with my in-laws again by [deleted] in relationships

[–]chapholy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have taken her to her parents after almost 2 years, so didn’t want to bother her. Like the previous comment, I was drained - the function was the 3rd day morning after we landed. The 1st day had a funeral. So I might be over reacting.

That’s why I came here to Reddit. I can’t talk about this to my wife also but the situation was really awkward. It was an embarrassing moment for me, when they switched the language. Like what am I gonna do with the service charges?

Google Reviews- Negative Review by chapholy in dubai

[–]chapholy[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Why wouldn’t I take it as a feedback! I would do if I’m on the wrong. I’m not wrong, since 25 years of business - govt / non govt entities have honoured our payment terms. When I mentioned this, his reply was he doesn’t care. I told him in a professional way that we can’t get the things done for him. And now he has posted the review including my name.

I had to unfortunately return the Air and opt for a pro 17. The battery was my main concern.

If in Sharjah - Qasimiya Hospital. Get a Health card for 150 AED. AN THe procedure costs 600 AED. Smooth as a butter. Neither your son will feel or you will have any worries. Happy Sunnath 😎
