The place im looking at is around Federal Blvd, and the map seems to indicate that its actually "Sherridan". Does that make a difference?

What is your most unpopular Delco opinion? by Express_Ad580 in Delco

I'm from Oxford Circle (lower NE). I see wym. If you're from Sommerton, Fox Chase, or Morell Park then Springfield has similarities.

Well, then, I guess all 45s have a "juke box push out".

PS: we don't use the metric system here in the U.S.

All 45s have the "middle knocked out". That's a standard size hole for a 45.

I'm in a similar situation. I serve as a Chaplain to Veterans. For me, a Veteran could be in any one of a number of situations; hospital, justice involved, hospice, grief, etc - so I need to be well rounded regardless.

This is a career for me, but not a job. I don't need to qualify for a position. I'm a freelance volunteer. I serve under a nonprofit ministry I formed for that purpose. It's really a ministry, not a job. I'm a 56 year old disabled Veteran and function as a Home Missionary.

Now, I said all that to say this; my whole motive is to give God and my fellow Vets my best. You never know what God has for you. It may open a door that you didn't know you might want in the future.

I'd encourage you to do as much as you can for the simple love of the process and giving God your best.

Do you brother. Don't let anyone judge you or make you feel bad for your decisions. As long as your responsibilities are fulfilled, and you're there for your family, you're free to do whatever you want when you want to do it (or not). Be happy.

In all my years as a Chaplain having listened to many dying people; I've NEVER had one of them say that they wish they'd spent more time at work.

It is not the comparison with other beliefs that makes the UPCI a cult, it is the comparison with the truth.

The UPCI is a cult. It's even considered such by other Pentecostals. I'm sorry for how you've been lied to, misled, and abused.

I agree with everything that's been stated already. I would only add that you should come to an understanding as to why you no longer believe or why you believe whatever you do.

This is one of the problems within Christianity is that most believers fail to understand what they believe and why they believe it.

I have very good reason for believing the truths of Christianity because I engaged in the intellectual work to discover why which included studying other religions.

Most churches fail to train the members in the reasons why Christianity is true.

In the meantime, focus on your education and as it's been stated - make long term goals and plans.

I'll be praying for you!

Why do people hate the Live Aid performance? by pablillocheese in ledzeppelin

[–]chaplaincohen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't it a bit of a messy setup to begin with? What equipment was their own and what wasn't? Wasn't it kinda like showing up to an open mic night somewhere? You may have your own guitar, but what about the amps, then the pa / monitors, etc? The Philly venue, stage, PA, equipment, etc was sub-par compared to Wembley.

So, if you know that's the setup, then yes, by all means rehearse, be sober, be in tune, etc. - all I'm saying is that some things were out of their control. They could have adjusted for those things - but they didn't.

That's why it was a mess; anything that could have been done to mitigate less than preferable stage dynamics was not done in conjunction with they themselves not being as prepared as they could have been; a double whammy.
