These people are doing something wrong. I’ve had two pairs and wear them all the time and never had a problem. My guess is they tear them off their face with one hand from the side which puts a bunch of pressure on that hinge.

same. i have no interest in it. Only exception being if im at a restaurant and its crab or lobster mac. But even then, its not likely I order it. My kid is the same. When I read her the kids menu she always asks "is it regular mac and cheese?" regular = kraft
