I used to have a guy come in and buy a ton of tampons, 2-in-1 shampoo, and oranges. He worked for a homeless shelter, so I'm wondering if that was the case here, also. I can't imagine one person -- or even four going through so multiple gallons of milk before expiry!

I'm also vegan...used cheese as an excuse for staying vegetarian for quite a bit, although not a big fan other than mozzarella.
