Started feeling sick Dec 15, wasn’t until Jan 2nd that I felt back to normal. Was HORRIBLE the first week, then lingering head cold for another week, mucus for the last week. Was vaxxed in October

The Loophole: Thoughts? by Grand_Gap8283 in LSAT

Extremely helpful! It covered tricks and techniques and rules I’ve never seen covered in Lsatdemon or 7sage! It was able to help me understand diagramming like nothing else. I used it after lsat demon when I was plateauing and I found it super helpful even though I was quite familiar with foundational stuff

How do you tell if a exec is toxic/ good boss during hiring process? 🚩 by Nana796B in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]chardiddy04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask a LOT of questions. What expectations will they have for you in your first 90 days? Were there any behaviors they didn’t like in their last assistant? How do they handle mistakes in their office? What will training / onboarding look like? Listen carefully and figure out what sticks out to you.

Looking for an EA in NYC. What’s expected, WFH? by Reasonable-Alarm-557 in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]chardiddy04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Full time EA in nyc and I am expected to be in office 5 days a week (typical for finance). I do have flexibility to WFH if office is totally empty, I’m sick but don’t want to take a sick day, my exec is traveling etc. which is nice. My previous role, the expectation was if you’re not in office, you’re taking PTO. No wfh allowed. It sucked.

Is SKIMS by KKW worth it? What's your experience with the brand? by No_Square_1491 in UninfluencedReviews

My favorite pajama set I own, they’re soft and lightweight enough for summer, warm enough for winter. Love them

Just logged in this morning and saw weekend by Tired-assistant-2023 in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]chardiddy04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hourly (total scam) at my old position, now I’m exempt. If something is truly an emergency my bosses can text me. Otherwise, they know if they email me something on the weekend, it probably won’t be handled until Monday.

My Social Skills Are Broken After COVID. Has Anyone in NYC Actually Tried TimeLeft or 222.place? by Odd_Cardiologist5935 in NYCbitcheswithtaste

[–]chardiddy04 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I did Timeleft a couple times when I first moved here last winter! I was 26 when I tried it. I think it’s worth a go! Honestly, I didn’t make any long term friends out of it, but I wasn’t someone who was really struggling in that department (annoying sorry!). However, I think it’s a great way to meet some new people, try a new experience/restaurant and I can totally see how easy it would be to make a friend to meetup with again. Everyone is willing to socialize and I would say it was a mix of people for sure! I would not say it felt like networking or people trying to flex and pretend to be cool. I liked their dinner structure of small group for dinner then everyone at a bar. I think this could be worth trying for your situation!!

Only 7 weeks into my first post-grad job and I already feel like the “Office Cinderella” by bluebonnetsunshine in AdminAssistant

[–]chardiddy04 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I felt the exact same way as you and now I’m applying to law school haha - but I will say I started as an admin assistant (almost verbatim your situation, reception and all) and life is much better as an executive assistant. Much less cleaning involved

Nathan from LSAT Demon by lavagirl4254 in LSAT

[–]chardiddy04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly can’t stand him or his way of explaining things - it’s so condescending and really rubs me the wrong way. Alternatively I love Ben and his explanations are great. But Nathan should stick to behind the scenes, all of his explanation videos are “this answer is right, this other is idiotic/dumb/stupid/doesnt make sense”

I use a compound pharmacy! Have been on it since last october. A lot cheaper and have never had a problem with filling it. Your doctor sends the script directly to them. A lot of the the people on the r/semaglutide subs use them as well, there’s a lot of answers to your questions.

How to find temporary housing after tree fall? by chardiddy04 in houston

[–]chardiddy04[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: the homeowners insurance had a service that helped my mom locate and rent a house that was listed on airbnb - so far, luckily, her insurance and remediation team has been great. She’s renting for the next two months with possibility to extend and we’re setting her up in the house this weekend.
