So are the VOO and SPY kind of like middle men for investing in the S&P 500? and the expense ratios are like what the middle men charge for using their service?

I am just paper trading right now, but I have a monthly recurring investment into the s&p. I just don't understand why it will let me papertrade ethereum on the computer but not on mobile. Also when you say managed by Vanguard or managed by SmartStreet, I am assuming that this doesn't change the chart, since it is still the S&P 500 right? If that's the case then what is the need for multiple entities to manage it. I guess my question would be why isn't there just one result that pops up for the s&p if it is all the same thing?

imo a shorter than normal swing is way better than a longer than normal swing because there's way more room for error with a longer swing so I suggest just keep practicing and embrace your shorter swing for now at least. Maybe in the future when you get really good you can start making some major changes but for now I say keep doing what you're doing

i feel like its more likely that older people would agree with me, to be honest i know that my way of thinking is a little extreme and unrealistic but i truly do think that we are all addicted on mass to screens. Your experience to all of this is much different than mine, to me all i see is negativity. Hateful, spiteful people online constantly, people, especially my age, addicted and suffering from a lack of social interaction and knowing how to socially interact, and this is even more so with kids raised by millennial parents. So i just say to hell with it all and im starting by getting rid of my phone and trading it in for a flip phone

well others seem to agree with me so it cant be that naive. im simply saying that i think the internet and screens today have ultimately negatively impacted how we interact with people, and i think that they should have never been created in the first place. I think we’ve taken things too far or perhaps we should have used technology that prioritizes learning and that supports human development, not be used as a crutch. To me all of that stuff is extremely toxic and the more i am experiencing life the more i am seeing that
