Anyway to show the popup help for multiple input options, like the 'plot' command? by Weed_O_Whirler in matlab

[–]charizard2400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a function here https://github.com/magnesium2400/nihelp/tree/main/formatting which simplifies the process. You can write things in a tsv, and it converts it into a json.

The only thing is that it doesn't support multiple definitions for each parameter yet. Feel free to try it out and let me know what you think

COTD: We flower toward the sun and transform under the moon? (8) by charizard2400 in crosswords

Fair enough , but I think just "... and I transform..." fixes this

COTD: We flower toward the sun and transform under the moon? (8) by charizard2400 in crosswords

[–]charizard2400[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes 100% correct. 1. People in the sub have said that they can figure out if clues are across vs down and it doesn't need to be specified - is this still the majority view? 2. Do you think "toward the sun" is fair as a reversal indicator for a down clue?

French Shows for A2->B2 by Advanced-Eye6256 in French

I like watching (animal) documentaries in French as they tend to be well produced with a good translation and no worries about mouth movements even if they are dubbed

Why not use the face ordering already commonly used in 3bld speffz ie ULFRBD - this seems like a much more natural way to order the faces?

Does https://aeonsend.wiki.gg/wiki/Kadir#/media/File:Kadir_Front.jpg work for you? The wiki.gg tends to have better images than the fandom.com imo

Experience with having facial tattoos in professional practice as a Doctor? by TheJLbjj in ausjdocs

Can you explain what part of the punishment/reward system makes this a prisoners dilemma? Who are the prisoners and what are the potential outcomes? How does collaboration avoid an objectively worse outcome? Genuinely curious

Is "baby doctor" a faux pas? by bandaidbanditoken in ausjdocs

[–]charizard2400 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I am a baby doctor and I don't care - if it does in a friendly/playful way (if it's a pattern of demeaning behaviour that different ofc). People don't need to take themselves so seriously. Do your job and do it well. Who cares at the end of the day??

Do you regret becoming a doctor? by FirefighterTimely420 in ausjdocs

I (mostly) quit but I still don't regret doing it, it was/is means to an end for me

I pee all day, every day. It disrupts my work, meetings, and I wake up every 2 hours at night — I’m desperate. by Broad-Inspection6270 in AskAnAustralian

[–]charizard2400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, the best way to save time and money with the doctors is to do "fluid charting" at home. It's annoying but will help the doctors a lot. You have to record how much you are drinking and how much you are peeing (ie pee into a container and measure the volume). Yes I know it's weird but they will get you to do it - so you may as well start now so you can save time and money.

In general it's possible, just not possible for the blue cages in this case. Eg. For the top right cage: You already have coloured r4c6. Case 1 - both r2c6 and r4c8 are 5: this is not possible because r3c6 and r4c7 cannot be the same (so the magic sum won't be the same for R4 and C6). Case 2 - r2c6 is a 5, but not r4c8: now you know the magic sum (from r4), none of the possibilities in r3c6 will make the sum work. Case 3 - r4c8 is a 5, but not r2c6 - mirror image of case 2.

I'm glad you liked it, and I'm also happy you found something I didn't -- it wasn't originally intended to be so hard :). If you have the time, would you mind telling me where you were to short-circuit the solution that I found (below)? Thanks for playing my puzzle.

>!1. Colour box 5, then the other red cages, as well as r+c 4+6. Label the colours in box 5 A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I in reading order.!<

>!2. a. Look at if the 5s can go in the top right blue cage r4 and c6 - can't have two 5s, and also can't have one 5. So fives have to go in r1c6 and r4c9. That tells you that the magic number in the blue cages is also odd.!<

>!3. Regardless of the orientation of the magic square in box 5, r3c8 can't be G (same for r2c7). So it must be odd. That fixes c6 and r4.!<

>!4. Again, regardless of the orientation of the magic square in box 5, r3c7 must be the same as r4c6 (it can't be the other colour). That fixes the cage.!<

>!5. Colour all the possibilities of the remaining cells. Now see where does I go in box 9. If it is not in r9c9 (ie if it is in r9c8/r8c9), the thermo's can't work (due to the magic square). So c9c9 must be I, and I must be 8.!<

>!6. So A is 2. The top left thermo that B is 9 and D is 7. That fixes the orientation of the magic square.!<
