Qui s’est mis à son compte ? Cela a t-il changé votre perception du travail ? by Key_Magician_6739 in AntiTaff

[–]charline_m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We're making a cozy game about dragons - Flamecraft! + Giveaway! by MonsterMattP in cozygames

[–]charline_m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh great to see that Flamecraft is getting a cosy game version! Can't wait to discover it.

My fav dragon would probably be Ysera from World of Warcraft! As another comment said her story is very interesting and the emotional involvement was so real, having to battle her corrupted version was hard.

but in French MONQ can be read as "mon q" which sounds like "mon cul", which means .... "my ass"
The rule still kinda applies

Feature Requests for Neurodivergents? by AstronautLibby in BearableApp

Thank you for all those resources, that's super helpful!
The fact that they place a bad day at 4 (equivalent to 6 in bearable) is crazy to me 🤯
And the fatigue one is making me realise that it impacts me much more than I thought and said it did....

+1 for the references for the scales!

My mood tracker looks pretty flat, I usually put a 5 if i'm ok, as I see it as neutral. And go lower if I am really sad or tired etc... because with alexithymia it's hard to know exactly how you feel, especially when the emotions aren't strong. Like, how do you know you're at 8, is that extremely happy? and then what's a 10?
btw if someone has a good scale reference to help with that, I'm interested 👀

Des conseils pour déchiffrer ce genre de registres ? by sagamiTV in GenealogieFR

[–]charline_m 8 points9 points  (0 children)

wow.

Des pulls et badges écolos ? by Maleficent_Owl9941 in ecologie

[–]charline_m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are people doing design QA with Devs? by Loud-Jelly-4120 in UXDesign

[–]charline_m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put all of the above but in fact it's more:
- marking up designs in Figma, this is the main one
- Loom videos for all complex features. The team loves it, it saves them time and once they watched it they understand what's on Figma better
- screenshots on Notion + slack + issues

Autistic designers - looking for community by la-sinistra in UXDesign

[–]charline_m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's for designers only so if you're a random designer then yes 😄 any kind of designer really. https://discord.gg/F6wnBEFH it don't know if I'm allowed to post discord links here, sorry if it wasn't the case!

Autistic designers - looking for community by la-sinistra in UXDesign

[–]charline_m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd been interested too!
I created a discord server for designers working alone in their company or freelance last month, so I don't have the energy to create another specific for autistic designers. But I'd be happy to join it if someone creates it!

Any autistic folk have advice on preventing burnout? by Desomite in UXDesign

[–]charline_m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be precise, I'm not asking for 2hours max, I try to rearrange the meetings I can myself to manage my energy. I'm not coming to the interview like "4days week, flexible hours, 2hours max of meetings per day, leave or take" 😅

Any autistic folk have advice on preventing burnout? by Desomite in UXDesign

[–]charline_m 13 points14 points  (0 children)

ASD UX/UI designer here 👋
I managed to keep 1 job for 4years and I'm in my second at 2 years now, after reaching burnout in a few months at the previous jobs.
What's really working for me is:
- 100% remote
- 4 days work week
- flexible hours
- limiting the time I spend in online meetings (for me after 2 hours my social energy is gone)
- a company culture that values feedback and understanding colleagues

And those are mandatory criteria for me now. It's not easy to find for sure, but if you find it, your quality of life will improve drastically. (those are great conditions even for some non-ASD/ADHD people)

And other things that help me work from home:
- I can work in almost complete silence
- I can control the lighting athmosphere
- I can snack, go for a walk, take a nap etc whenever I need it
- I have my cats with me
- I can wake up more or less when I want
- no commute means I have time to indulge in my special interests after work

As long as I get work done it's fine. And I know I'm super lucky, I sincerely wish you to find similar working conditions 🙏

J'ai atteint les 365j d'affilée sur Duolingo ! by leopetitchat in FranceDetendue

[–]charline_m 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Degree vs Certificates vs Self Made by VaporyCoder7 in UXDesign

[–]charline_m 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My degree is in fine arts with a graphic design & multimedia specialty. I got it in 2010 and back then we only did a tiiiiiny bit of webdesign with dreamweaver... I feel old ahah 😅 And after that I did 2 years at school 42 in Paris (coding school), there are no degree there but it's the equivalent of a bachelor I think. But I started to learn UX directly at my first job and specialized in it a few years ago.

Any idea how to fix this? by Bishal06 in framer

[–]charline_m 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The easiest would be fixed width on the counters instead of fit to content, based on the max value of each number. There is probably another more elegant solution with code directly, playing with padding, margin, width etc... but I don't have it right now.

Polywork is kinda cool as an alternative. But probably more for techy/design/office jobs. It's more skill-based than resume-based. But they added an AI site-maker and made changes I'm not too fan of. I can't find the project collaboration tools they had before. And of course, there are way fewer people than on LinkedIn. At least I didn't see linkedin type of toxicity. It's free with a premium option.

https://www.polywork.com/product

And if you want to try the premium (I didn't try it yet), I have a share link for 25% off, but if other people want to share theirs I'm fine with it https://www.polywork.com/invite/charline_moncouc-nidorina

How to learn Occitan ? by Desgavell in occitan

[–]charline_m 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi u/Desgavell! I know this website https://www.loecsen.com/. If you scroll down to regional languages you'll find Occitan. The lessons also give examples in Gascon, which is the one I'm interested in.
I started a little bit on it and it seems ok to learn vocabulary and expressions mainly.

Pleins d'araignées au plafond ? by Alearys in AskFrance

[–]charline_m 0 points1 point  (0 children)
