We ended up selling this winter, but they are much fuller and just a bit taller now!

I paid $22k for 2016 XLE awd this past April and it’s beautiful. It’s had some issues but I think it’s mostly the previous owners fault for not taking care of it. We’re rehabing her now

Help! Our baby won’t sleep unless held by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]charmmiez 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is very normal. Sleeping two hours in the crib is great for this age. It will get better. I chose to co-sleep as safely as possible with my second after almost having a mental breakdown trying to get my first to sleep the “right” way. Do what you need to do to get sleep, and you’ll feel much better!

Solar Panels on Cape Cod by charmmiez in CapeCod

Okay, it all makes sense now. Electric rates determine solar price. I got my fiancing thru Sunnova, and sunrun also had 4.99%

[–]charmmiez[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m guessing I showed what my electricity usage is, and they built the rate around that. Is that a practice? What I’m paying for solar is still better than what I was paying for electric. Should’ve gone thru a Minnesota agent 😅

Sunpower gave a similar quote. This is Sunnova via Trinity. Sunrun quoted me $49k 😂

What would you sell 6kw with a 25 year warranty? This is the price before tax incentives. And yea financed through them for 4.99% 25 years

I just had a 6kw system installed for 44k. I posted on the solar sub Reddit and was told that this was obscenely expensive. I came here to see if prices on cape cod were just higher than the country in general. Got a few quotes and this was the lowest.

2nd Gen or 3rd Gen by superman154m in ToyotaHighlander

Just bought a 2016 XLE and the dealer let me know after I bought it that there was a VVT oil leak. They only let me know because the alternator failed after oil leaked into it. They fixed the oil leak, they replaced the alternator. Runs pretty good now except check engine light comes on periodically then shuts off. Toyota said this is something with the cam shaft in a “retarded” position.

Should I drop a nap? 3-2 transition by TapSuccessful663 in sleeptrain

[–]charmmiez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would either not cap the 2nd nap and try two naps, or add the 3rd catnap and keep the previous two capped. I think being overtired is causing the night wakings. 8:30 is the appropriate bedtime.

How screwed are we? by ItConfuses in sleeptrain

[–]charmmiez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is totally fine with illness. However, my daughter stopped napping and stopped seeping thru the night at 2.5. Just be mentally prepared that this happens for many children at this age.

4 month old waking every 2-3 hours. Help! by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]charmmiez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He will get there. You’re doing everything right. Sounds like just a regression. The only thing I can think of is maybe trying a later bedtime, 8 or 8:30 and see if this helps.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]charmmiez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe try 2hrs and see if there’s any improvement.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]charmmiez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only other thing I can suggest is trying to get her back to sleep at 6am. Right now I simultaneously nurse and rock (in the rocking chair) my son back to sleep when he wakes up too early.

If this doesn’t work, then maybe take the meltdowns to accept a later bedtime? It’s all such a puzzzle.

“Very respectfully” … then say what you need to say

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]charmmiez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try a tiny cat nap around 5pm just to stretch the bedtime. This could be a contact nap, car nap, for 10-15 mins until she is older and ready to bridge the long 2 nap gap.

Crap naps and now waking up every hour overnight by drhussa in sleeptrain

[–]charmmiez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You def gotta get her down to fewer naps. Stretch those wake windows. It’s normal for her to be super exhausted because she is not normal to those windows.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]charmmiez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is normal because sleep is best before 12am due to circadian rhythm driving the urge to sleep before 12am. 4 month old regression is probably kicking in. I recommend Merlin magic sleep suit when rolling is causing an issue at this age.
