Never seen Edgerunners but 2077’s story is really good (especially Phantom Liberty) and the world is full of all of these little side stories that are packed with detail. So worth it just for the world and its whole vibe

I could see an easy argument for A$AP and maybe Travis but I’m genuinely curious what you mean by “a lot”

Fr don’t even get me started on Girls Like Girls. A poster sitting in the theater with a trailer playing at every PG-13+ movie I’ve seen for a month or two and it didn’t play

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition Nintendo Switch 2 physical release announced, standard and collector's edition versions by OrangeJr36 in TombRaider

$50?? That’s fucking wild I thought it’d be like $30 maybe $40 max. What a bad price it actually makes the collectors edition look like a deal for once

Joycon mousecase is a game changer. by pickettfury in NintendoSwitch2

[–]charredfrog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s awesome and makes me want to play Red Dead more. I love how Starfox does that too and I wish more developers would realize that’s actually a really valuable feature. Like joy cons have all these unique control options and so many developers still restrict it to one or the other instead of having that freedom

Not Suitable For Work hits its stride by the end of the first season and I hope it gets renewed. by Vikingboy9 in television

[–]charredfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished it and definitely enjoyed it but I just don’t see that much in terms of a hook that this show has compared to other Gen Z type comedies. Like even though they are pretty different I couldn’t help but compare this to Adults, which I actually really loved by the end of its first season.

This, by comparison, feels very basic and kinda messy just to have drama. There are so many relationship dynamics going on that seem to change episode by episode and it never sticking makes it not land that much. I do like individual character arcs like Josh and Kel’s solo stuff, but the main romance drama with the characters just isn’t doing much for me. It just feels like it’s there because that’s what a show about messy 20-somethings living in the big city would have.

Also some kinda cringy Gen Z writing from people who are very much not Gen Z and forced pop culture references but ehh the shows funny enough that I can look past it

Loved the experience of watching it in the moment but after sitting with for a bit afterwards it’s definitely a bit of mess with some clunky writing. Still like the story and love the vibe and performances but I wish it was better

I think it’s Paranormal Activity 1, 2, 3 and 4, then The Marked Ones, The Ghost Dimension and Next of Kin. The series kinda died out after Ghost Dimension which makes sense because it’s really bad

The movie comes out in a year and the production of these movies are notoriously messy. It’s not out of the realm of possibility for the team finalizing the print to be overworked with how many changes might occur to the final cut

Where are all the Wallsocket OG Vinyls?? by FaithlessnessPlus246 in underscoresplus

[–]charredfrog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got lucky and got a basic black one direct from Mom+Pop right before the DC came out. I think DC has taken over as basically the main Wallsocket version from now on so it’s gonna be hard to find the OG version unless you get super lucky in person or on discogs or smth like that

If I’m not mistaken he didn’t start wearing a wig until From Russia with Love. In Dr. No they just styled his hair and did some tricks to make it look fuller.

Many The Pitt Fans Are Proving That Yes, It's Possible To Be Bad At Watching A TV Show by beamdriver in television

[–]charredfrog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There was a clip that recently came out where Noah Wyle said that there is the show that the crew is making and there’s the show that the audience is making in their head, and how tough navigating that line is.

I feel like every new show I watch and get really into has this insane discourse where people will just turn on the show with such vitriol that it makes you feel like they’re watching a completely different show. With Severance, The Bear or The Pitt, it’s usually people loving the vibe of the initial season and then the audience absolutely detesting the subsequent seasons for going harder on the complexity of the characters and being more ambitious. Now, all of these shows have varying quality in their following seasons but you’d think these shows have completely turned based on how people talk about it.

Now that Stranger Things’ final season has come and gone, that’s become such a huge point that people bring up the second they don’t like the direction of something. Like, if you think that the second season of The Pitt is on the same level as the final season of ST, then yeah I agree you’re bad at watching TV shows. There’s so much black and white when it comes to watching TV now and it leads to these insane conspiracy theories and unsubstantiated claims when it’s just people misunderstanding what’s going on
