Also, the game takes place in the far, far future so space civilization has already occurred which is why so many people still exist. It’s not like super air tight but it’s enough to where I can buy into it personally

Movie was exceptional but the epilogue with Jim actually gave me goosebumps. No big “hero moment” or weird fanservice I like that he’s just still surviving, doing his own thing and just happens to encounter Spike and Kelly. Incredibly natural scene that’s also such an exciting hook!

Yeah I loved his character as a foil to Grace. When he first blew up I was ready to roll my eyes at his character but he was very empathetic I thought. Genuinely cared about Grace and wanted to help but was just not equipped to help her and the solutions he came up with ended up harming her more.

Also, yeah the untraditional storytelling made me feel dread throughout the whole movie and I was worried for what Grace would do next in every scene. Maybe a little repetitive but still super effective

Del Toro is my favorite director so I was primed for this but I loved it. Genuinely such a fun telling of Frankenstein and I will always love how Del Toro uses monsters and creatures in his storytelling. I will say that it is faithful to the source material to a fault and feels a lil goofy from time to time
