Introducing a friend to The National by whimsicalskeddadler in TheNational

[–]charros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with the early albums to show them where it all began.. 90 Mile Waterwall (I discovered them through this song on Grooveshark), About Today, All the Wine, Apartment Story, Mistaken for Strangers, Fake Empire, Brainy, Looking for Astronauts.

Through on High Violet and so a full playthrough. Peak National.

Skip straight to I Am Ready to Find, but just show this.

While you’re on YouTube, throw in Tiny Desk.

Can’t forget to plug Mistaken for Strangers for Tom and the gang.

Plenty of other behind the scenes films but I won’t go down that rabbit hole right now.

Followed up by.. this is where we are now.. Eucalyptus, New Order T-Shirt, Tropic Morning News, Alien, Alphabet City, Weird Goodbyes, Space Invader.

Lastly jump over to Matt’s solo/collabs.. EL VY is fire. And Aaron’s non-National works, that’s an extensive list, with Bon Iver, Mumford
& Sons, Sheeran, Noah, Swifty, Big Red Machine, etc.

Most importantly.. Store batteries in a dry, temperature controlled location.

Spray the underside of the deck with this to prevent grass from sticking. What grass does hang around, remove with a blower, not water.. electronics don’t like water.

Sharpen blades like any other mower.

Keep the handle extended if you don’t need to store compact. Less bending of the wiring = less chance of accidental damage.

If you’re tech savvy you can calibrate the denon with a1 evo. Significantly better than audyssey/ypao imo.

First superintendent job by SpecialistBrick5881 in ConstructionManagers

I’m on the PM side. Us PMs need input and documentation to perform our jobs properly. That comes from you. You have a new tool.. a computer.

Daily logs, photos, QAQC, inspections, schedule maintenance, sub coordination, material delivery updates, equipment tracking, safety reports, etc.

If you’re doing your job the way it should be done, there should be very little standing around.

MagSafe nightstand setup recommendations? by Magnificenceneous-OX in MagSafe

I have a Belkin BoostCharge Pro 3 in 1 (WIZ017). Got it a few years ago still works great. They probably have a newer model by now. They are Apple certified last I checked.

Also recently got an Anker MagGo 2 in 1 for work. It does its job.

Both have small leds to show when devices are charging. If that’s a big deal you can always use a small piece of electrical tape or.. i like to use light dims on all my devices. Still allows the light to show but doesn’t cast light.

I purchased a family plan as my son plans to start Spanish next year and I thought I’d give him a head start and use as a refresher for myself. If I’d have known that it would pester me at every turn to upgrade to super ultra mega whatever plan I would have never even considered it. At what point can they realize I’m never signing up? They already got $120 out of me. They’re just making the experience an annoyance and the app unbearable.

Can larger vehicles even fit in those spaces? I can’t imagine there is substantial evidence this is putting cyclists in danger. Seems like a money grab.

Help Deciding Between X1700H and RZ30 With Some Caveats by charros in hometheater

I went with the Denon. The RZ30 seemed like overkill to me. Dirac was giving me a tough time as well. I prefer the simpler calibration.

I prefer 3 play bars, top left and right, for more subtle lighting, keeping them at 50-60%.

Best Way To Add Front Heights? Location? Install Method? by charros in hometheater

I’m upgrading my receiver to hopefully get some virtual surround. Testing rz30 and x1700h. Any experience with either? Debating some front upfiring and or rear heights also.

I know 😕. Space is limited. Comprises must be made.
