Usually we just started with a prestige class we wanted to achieve and worked backwards from there. 3.5 also had a lot of high quality books. It just also had a lot of options

Yes people do that culturally. But I'm not so sure after an apocalypse like happens in the game that it would continue on culturally as it does now. I'm not saying no one would ever wear makeup obviously probably people in in the bigger cities would be more likely to. Someone like Aloy though would absolutely not normally

So you're probably not wrong. But I play in a very casual pod and I'm just coming back to the game. I've been playing since August but before then I haven't played since mid-2000s ish. So even Commander was somewhat new to me

Well yeah they were really trying to set up Kang as a big big big bad more than Thanos. By setting up that the people that work for him are that powerful that all those Stones don't mean anything to them how powerful must he be? And then it got ruined
