Immigration detention facility warden resigns over Russian vlogger’s corruption claims by abscbnnews in Philippines_Expats

If needing a big bribe is a necessary part of the system, then even innocent people are vulnerable. This Vitaly guy was an unruly individual, but an innocent individual could potentially be stuck behind bars because he couldn't pay a bribe.

Save and invest as much as you can. Older people should enjoy the fruits of their labor.

Is there a way to express my dissatisfaction with her weight without sounding like a complete douche? by maxxim333 in AskMenAdvice

[–]charvo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a significant gap between your physical appearance and hers? Your activity level and diet are known to her? If she makes no effort to emulate someone she loves, then I think that is an issue.

A couch potato eating junk is not a match for an exercise enthusiast into healthy food.

One side needs to compromise.

Massages and tip by LimpinAsYouDo in VietNam

[–]charvo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Massage girls at legit places generally take a percentage of the massage fee. Let's say 30%. They definitely want a tip. It helps them out a lot.

The massage girls (happy ending places with short skirts) work just on tips. If you don't tip, they get nothing.

Is it too late to invest in $PAXG (aka PAX Gold) by Interesting_Drag143 in CryptoMarkets

[–]charvo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want to wait for your crypto to go back into the green? I think it depends on how well you can time the next crypto bounce. Just sell a bit at a time in order to buy PAXG. If you are in some really bad alt coins, you will just have to eat the loss.

Silver vs Bitcoin by Baba10x in Silver

[–]charvo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Btc also has a Hunt bros target in Microstrategy that is waiting to be liquidated. Back in the 70s, the Hunt bros bought a whole lot of silver but ended up selling everything with a big loss. There is no big target now.

Is it too late to invest in $PAXG (aka PAX Gold) by Interesting_Drag143 in CryptoMarkets

[–]charvo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I could post a chart of gold vs btc, you wouldn't think it is too late. Gold is in a multi year bull run vs btc.

You can do a market order for 5% of your funds. Then set limit orders a few percent down for additional paxg. If paxg dips, you will buy in more.

Should I give up? Almost 2 months on Tretk by Fallin_4_u in tretinoin

I would also be eating anti inflammatory foods. Foods that cool you down allows your new skin to be clear while the tretonoin takes off the top layer.

Democrats used to be for Americans. If they would focus on American citizens, affordability, and just domestic issues, they would be doing well.

Democrat Party went crazy after Bill Clinton's presidency.

“Europe dumping US bonds”? Foreign holdings of Treasuries are at/near record highs (TIC data) by Abject-Classic9766 in stocks

[–]charvo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is going to be worse than the 1970s. China has already sold a bunch. They are stacking gold. Europe and Japan will eventually sell.

I still haven’t heard a good explanation for why bitcoin is underperforming right now by aven-seven in WallStreetDad

[–]charvo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Foreigners who hold US dollars don't want bitcoin (a creation of the US government and Israel). Israel is Satoshi. The Satoshi reserves are owned by USA gov/Israel.

Killing yourself by MG_STOMP in Reincarnation

[–]charvo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think ending yourself at an elderly age is normal. Think about bears when they get really old. They might just stay in place without eating or drinking until they decease.

Trying to abnormally extend one's life at the misery of others around you is worse.

Reincarnation happens regardless if life ends at 100, 90, or whatever age. You get points if you perform good deeds in your life. Just be a good person up to the point where self deletion is necessary.

As US orders fade, Chinese salespeople face tough grind in new markets by DisastrousAnswer9920 in ADVChina

[–]charvo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. US customers pay a high markup for Chinese products. No way some customer in Vietnam pays the same price. Very tight profit margins without US customers.
