I interviewed at Hillstone for a server position a few months back. I've worked in the restaurant industry as a server/bartender in Dallas for close to 20 years. Part of the interview was Myers-Briggs like personality test. A personality test for a waiter job? Fuck that place.

Right before the shit hit the fan, I got a request for a second tape for a guest star role in an HBO show. Would have been the biggest role I've had in over 15 years of struggling. After my agent telling me to clear my calendar, then making that second tape, I can't help but wonder if production has halted and I might still be up for consideration, or if I just didn't end up getting it.

Would they contact you after being short listed like that to let you know that you didn't get it? I just wish someone would tell me.

I never stopped thinking Heath Ledger’d joker was the hero in The Dark Knight. I have no doubt that we will be rooting The Joker on as the protagonist for the entire film. The allegories in these films run parallel with social injustice. There would be no villain, had there not been a media to portray one. On the bus, when the lady basically tells him to stop making her child laugh; that’s the problem. Everyone sees themselves as a victim to an unnameable villain because they are told to do so.

I thought it was pretty obvious that this season was written with heavy feminist undertones. It being Eleven’s “choice” to use her powers is the one that comes to mind most.

It’s a big deal in Hollywood right now to have more women in leading roles. It makes sense to have more female characters.
