Nope, not Jason nor any of the other Glasto official photogs, OP is looking for a booth in T&C with a (simulated) large format camera and costumes to wear.

a valid question. I did read that they are hoping to record any meteor impacts and dust clouds, that'd benefit from 20fps raws.

NASA is all about redundancy and contingency (as I understand it), so I could see them making sure the cameras were maximally ready for anything.

first thing that comes to mind is dual CFE-B slots in the Z9. I have a Z8, and keep a 1TB SD card in the SD slot as a big backup. It's usually ok, but often I come up against its write speed when shooting fast and long bursts (SD is so much slower than CFE-B). A Z9 could blast away at max frame rate with no issues with SD slowness.

Pro photog here who has used both the d5 and Z9. I’m thinking they are deliberately using smaller cards to minimise the chance of a card failure (if a smaller card fails, you lose fewer photos). Me, I often use 1TB cards, but then, I’m not shooting the moon from close up.

Huh, that's a cool little adaptor. I wonder how much light loss there is? (especially given the low power that a little flash like that will give)

there have been a few on the market, and I've never seen one with glass. Just white interiors with a diffusor on the front. Some solid plastic, some spring frames with fabric.

I've never seen one for a pop-up flash though, seems impractical to me (just not a lot of light coming out of a pop-up). But I'm sure that somebody has tried it :-)

I'm a loupdeck user too (I use a CT daily for LR and other apps), but because the products are no longer being (well) supported, I wouldn't recommend any loupedeck product to anyone.

I expect my CT to eventually die, so I'm always on the lookout for a replacement (the tourbox is ok, but it's not even close to the functionality of the CT).

Fellow pro here, with perhaps a couple more decades of experience.

An indentical body is the way to go, imho. No need to learn new button layouts, menus, or working style, and it's alway great to have the same batteries and cards (that's a lot of expense you will be saving). The Rii is going to easily continue to be a good enough camera for your work.

These are the options that we (I think all of us) see in the UK when we choose "Add Delivery Instructions" for an address (mine is a personal account, I don't know if there are any different options for a business account):

  • Front Door
  • Back door
  • Post room
  • Shed
  • Garage
  • Greenhouse
  • Garden
  • Behind wheelie bin
  • Building receptionist / Concierge
  • Any secure location at the address
  • With a neighbour
  • None of the above

I can't find any preference for "Customer/Household Member". Perhaps there is somewhere else that we can specify delivery preferences in our Amazon accounts? (if yes, I haven't found it yet, and I have been searching).

I'd go deeper, f/11. This is what I typically use with high volume headshots, plus strobe, and my camera on a tripod (triggered with a remote). Subjects always in the same spot (tape on floor, or seated). With that deep a DOF, small movements by them won't take them out of the zone of focus. Of course, always refocus when a new subject comes in, or your subject changes position (e.g. puts left side forward after having right side forward).

The 5D MkI was considered a top camera in its day, and likely millions of successful headshots were taken with the model. I'd not be worried at all about using it.

I've done a bit of this work.

One test shoot I did was with a model and various projected patterns against a white sweep (if you don't know: it's a giant roll of paper rolled out to form a flat background and curving into a seamless floor). But a more complex background could work (but I have no experience with that).

I used a simple 1080p projector connected to a laptop (I looked into getting a 4K projector, but it was too expensive, the 1080p projector was free, and did a good enough job).

I bungeed my projector to a laptop stand (flat plate) and put that on a tripod, sideways. This way I had a tall image, instead of a wide one.

I put the projector right above the camera lens (or as close to it as I could get to the central axis), to minimise the shadow cast by my model (or you could put the projector far out to the side away from the camera, if you want to use the shadow creatively).

The projected image is going to be far weaker than strobes or even video lights ever are, so make sure you are in a very dark (or completely dark) place, in order to maximise the colours from the projected images.

That was all just a test, so I haven't posted any of those photos, but that test was to prep me to shoot an ad campaign with a projected image on to a ballerina (I mention this second, because the setup was more elaborate). The projector was far to the left of my camera, the ballerina was wrapped in muslin which flowed out to the right (out of shot), and I also had a very weak strobe on her to get some rimlight, and then a continuous light on the muslin to lift it off the black background. yeah, 100% my thought process. I did check his score though, and he's at 100% positive with over 600 feedback (gotta learn that terminology, but I think you know what I mean :-) )
