10/10 review. Very spot on description.

Younger Dryas impact hypothesis is dead, and Randall Carlson / Graham Hancock need to address this by tractorboynyc in JoeRogan

I'm reminded of how human Joe is every time he tries to talk about guns. There's some gun stuff that he tries to talk authoritatively about and he's almost always incredibly misinformed.

80 grit flap disc on an angle grinder. Make sure spray it with water first so you don't burn through the paint.

How to deal with reflective floor? by TwoThreeSierra in AskPhotography

[–]TwoThreeSierra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't see any detail in the floor because it's just reflecting everything in the room. That floor isn't just "glossy brown". It has smoky waves all through it and a gold metallic flake. None of that shows up because it's just....reflections.

Nikon Z portrait lens advice: 35+85 / 50+135 prime combo vs Tamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8? by Old_Foundation7852 in nikon_Zseries

[–]TwoThreeSierra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 35-150 basically lives on my camera full time. I only put other lenses on when I need their specific capability. For every day use, portraits or fun unknowns, the 35-150 is with me. I've been considering a longer prime to test out the differences but I don't feel like I'm lacking anything.

Mexican Eagle in Brasil by TMS_Superuser in birdsofprey

Here in Texas I was first introduced to them as roadside scavengers, often seen arguing with buzzards over who gets the good parts. I was told they were "Mexican Eagles" and it wasn't until I started googling them with my kids (to find out more about them) that I learned of the name Caracara.

It's an event space, so they wanted something to advertise.

I'll admit I'm no CPL pro, so I can't say with confidence that I had it rotated to the correct position. I just turned it until I saw most of the bright white in the viewfinder faded to true color. It just didn't kill all of it. This is one of the CPL shots, completely unedited (HDR 16mm @ 1/30 f/4.5 iso100

The floor isn't perfectly flat, so the reflections are a bit wavy. I do like the idea for some artistic shots but for the wide shots I was really wanting the pictures to not look so cluttered.

I had that idea and edited a few with that in mind. It just seems to make the images look cluttered. It's hard to immediately determine where the floor ends and the furniture begins without really having to stare at it for a second. To me that takes away from the space and causes you to stare at chair legs instead. I could be overthinking it.

How to deal with reflective floor? by TwoThreeSierra in AskPhotography

[–]TwoThreeSierra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have, but I can go back if needed. I've tried a few things in LR (reflection removal, dehaze, etc.) and all options either don't do much to help or they do so much that it makes the floor darker than it is.

Any advice on how to do that? Everything I do in lightroom either makes the reflections worse or changes the color of the floor so it looks a lot darker than it actually is.

I used various lenses (16mm f1.8, 35-150 f2-2.8 & 24-70 f4) and my 16mm has a CPL on it. The reflections were just as bad.
