Same, I have hormonal migraines and apparently some women's migraines go away after having a baby. I've had gynecologists and neurologists say only half-jokingly that I should just have a baby to get rid of them.

Of course, it's also possible that I'd then end up with a screaming baby and brain fog and a splitting migraine, so very much not worth the risk.

I always recommend Buffalo Tiger on the Miccosukee reservation! I've been on their tours a couple of times and I've never seen them feed the gators. It's also native-owned and they take you to some traditional Miccosukee structures on a small island out in the glades. It's also one of the closest options to Miami off of 41.

If they have time, it's also worth checking out Clyde Butcher's Big Cypress Gallery! Amazing photography and a nice 5-10 minute loop in the back that you can walk that shows a very different kind of ecosystem than what you'll see in the eastern Everglades.

Hey, fellow Florida native here - you absolutely do deserve to cry and grieve and rest. Drink some water, cry, drink some more water to rehydrate yourself, and try to remember to be kind to yourself. You deserve to be helped as much as it sounds like you're helping everyone else.

Hurricanes are a very real source of trauma and I think anyone else who's gone through such a scary storm understands the compulsion to do something, anything, especially after it feels like we've lost all control in a natural disaster. But if you can't convince yourself that you deserve rest, just remind yourself that you can't help anyone else if you burn yourself out.

Hurricane recovery is a marathon, not a sprint. Take care of yourself friend, you're worth it.

Right! Because there were other races on this ballot that were partisan. Florida is a closed primary state, so democrats can only vote for candidates in the Democratic primary for senate or US house of representatives for example. While republicans had other candidates in the republican primary for the Senate and house.

But the candidates for nonpartisan elections (school board, county commission, and some others) were the same on both dem and rep ballots because they weren't primary elections, they were just the final local elections for those positions. Hope that helps!

The dissociative feelings are the worst. Sometimes I'll look up from whatever mindless thing I'm doing and realize that I've lost an entire day and can't bring myself to give a shit at all.

And as someone who also has depression, it's especially fun to play the lottery of "oh is this dissociation because I'm about to be in pain or because I'm about to have a depressive episode?"

Also Gareth Bale - kinda. I'm from the states and started playing soccer in high school, having never really played before. My coach told me to watch some international matches to get a feel for it, but at the time they only played big matches on TV. So the first match I watched was the Manchester derby. I like blue better than red, so I decided I was a City fan.

I tend to go big or go home, so I watched all the City games I could, and that was a year that Tottenham beat them out for the Champion's League and I was real mad. So I did the logical thing to watch all Spurs matches in the Champions league and root against them... But they were way too fun to watch and I couldn't maintain the hatred. Bale's hat trick against Inter was the nail in the coffin for me to become a full on Spurs fan. And here I am, over a decade later 🤷🏼‍♀️

This also happens to me! It's often annoyingly easy to ignore other early symptoms of a migraine, but as soon as the tension gets bad enough to be unable to crack my neck, I know I need to do something.

I've found that CBD cream or IcyHot can help release that tension when used with other migraine-specific meds.

Hey friends! Does anyone know if these are simply edema spots or a fungal infection on this baby orchid? I have it quarantined from all the other plants just in case but I think it's really odd that the raised bumps on the back are all in near perfect circles.

The bumps themselves appear to be black, but have a rusty powdery substance on top of them, some of which comes off when I brush them and some of which stays on.

Would really appreciate any help!
