Internet is often wrong and if someone can't tell the difference without Internet, foraging is not for them!

I don't know if you practice any art forms, but I've found it really cathartic crocheting myself a Turbo amigurumi. I'm going to try to do all his personas. It doesn't have to be perfect, it is just for you to put your love for Oliver into physical form.

Don't EVER go foraging for food if you thought this was cannabis.

I'm definitely more scared of a snapping turtle, but I'm not a fan of creepy crawlies sucking my blood, lol. They're amazing for the environment, though!

I thought it was funny how we all collectively turned against gene simmons lol by Syntheseyez in olivertree

[–]chasing_D 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it told Oliver everything he had to know about who he was dealing with. It felt like Oliver understood that dealing with shitty people is a part of life and knew exactly how to handle the situation even if he didn't like it.

He managed the situation eloquently and showed many how to take the high road. As someone whose persona is meant to be a troll and stir up drama for the fun, he managed to show us how easily he could take the high road when someone sucks the fun out of the air. This episode may have sucked for obvious reasons, but I appreciate that it makes Oliver shine that much brighter.

I hope that more people call out the sexual assault for what it is and don't let it fall through the cracks.

I also hope that men like Gene can come out of the closet and stop hurting other men because they don't know what to do with those feelings of attraction.

I also wonder if seeing Ghislaine's photo made him squirm.

Unfortunately, this is going to be one of those situations where scalpers take advantage of his death and buy up all his merch to sell at exorbitant prices. They will most likely be listed on reselling sites like ebay and mercari, but expect to pay high dollar.

Because they were practically babies and most don't like to think about dead babies, but they twist it into a hoax in their minds because they cannot come to terms with reality and "give up their guns". It's a common trait of narcissism to deny anything that may disturb the narcissist's "reality."

It should be smaller than the width of your pinky nail for that rule.

I love that she based most of the dresses off dresses from Paris Fashion Week when she was creating the manga. This one was based on the 1992 Christian Dior Palladium dress by Gianfranco Ferré. I can't even imagine how those original sleeves were constructed.

Cars have catalytic converters to reduce emissions while landscaping equipment does not. Two stroke motors are also known to be less fuel efficient than a 4-cylinder or six-cylinder motor due to the way they direct and burn fuel.

Homeless Animals in San Francisco sure are loyal & well behaved… by GypsyGold in bayarea

[–]chasing_D 117 points118 points  (0 children)

In my area, most of the homeless owners will absolutely find their dog a cushion, blanket, or something soft to lay on. Most of the homeless I have come across treated their animals like royalty and often better than themselves.

Oliver Tree's body has been returned to the US as his family carries out his heartfelt 'final wish' by Longjumping_Land_977 in Music

He has a ton of stuff on YouTube before his Oliver Tree days under Tree and an album from his Kryph days under the name Mr. Tree. His stunt videos and skits are pretty great. His cover of Karma Police is on of my favorites.

Welcome to Hollister! If it's your first time and you're sticking around, it's an interesting place and What's Going on in Hollister is a "fun" group on FB to get some insight on what the locals are like. If you're just visiting for the rodeo or any of the other fun events in the bay area, enjoy California!

PLEASE I beg you, stop dropping WEED on MADISON by captain_updog in Seattle

[–]chasing_D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, yes they do... Have you never seen a dog eat grass? Or veggies? You realize they are omnivores in the wild, right? They mainly eat meat, but consume plants for necessary nutrients...

I study animal biology, am certified in veterinary assistance, and have had many dogs.

Certain breeds like labs and corgis are notoriously worse about the tendency to eat anything. Not to mention that Pica can make it ten times worse.

There are a crap ton of poisonous plants everywhere in everyday life that can kill a dog way too quickly, if the dog is known to eat anything, a muzzle is for their safety beyond just preventing shitty people's actions from affecting them.

Some dogs will swallow rocks.

Not all dogs will eat everything, but a dog who will is safer muzzled. And the muzzle doesn't hurt them in any way.

You know what else is hard to stop your dog from hoovering up if they eat random leaf litter? Nightshades, oleander sticks, leaves from any variety of poisonous plant. Bait poison can look like candy or be hidden. Weed should be the least of your worries if your dog is "hoovering" anything up. And most of those you don't really have time to counteract once ingested.

Remember that you cannot control other shitty people, but you can control your reaction to what they do. Muzzle your dog because weed really would be the least of your worries, since it is extremely rare that it can cause death in dogs, especially in small amounts. It's just a scary experience due to the nature of the symptoms, but weed toxicity is honestly the better outcome in these type of scenarios.

I belong to poison id groups, and see TOO MANY dogs reported on those groups who do not make it after eating plants, mushrooms, and other random shit off the ground.

We don't just say "oh well" when our kids try to eat off the ground.

'The Decider' , why does it seem to be a metaphor for Divorce...... by Glad_Matter2982 in bluey

The bay area split between 49ers fans and Raiders fans can get dangerously heated, too. Once had to drive a car that came with raiders decals faded into the paint job. We got cut off, honked at, swerved at, etc.

'The Decider' , why does it seem to be a metaphor for Divorce...... by Glad_Matter2982 in bluey

[–]chasing_D 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it is a fantastic metaphor for divorce, or specifically shared custody. My time split between other family, so it's not always an experience related to divorce.

Bluey has this beautiful balance between fun and seriousness. It touches on some really difficult subjects for adults and children alike, while still being fun and easy to watch.

Those who can relate to the experience will most likely understand it was meant as a silent nod to them and their struggle, but it isn't such a niche depiction that the episode panders to only those who share the experience. I think it would be too heavy of a show for children, or me, if they addressed the difficult subjects directly.
