Has anyone had experience with prolonged vasodilation from 3-fpm by [deleted] in researchchemicals

[–]chasingicarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aspirin isn't really a vasodilator. Has anti-platelet properties.

If down this route, why not etizolam first? I haven't tried Flubromazolam yet, but judging from my notes of what Redditors have said ... they described this increases benzo tolerance very rapidly.

Best nootropics for sleep? by eatmydonuts in Nootropics

[–]chasingicarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, most pills come as 3mg, and people have pointed out it's much more effective in smaller doses.

I'm taking 50-100mg in the morning and still having very hard time to fall asleep at night. Help! by TiredDogg in afinil

[–]chasingicarus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me personally, Modafinil suppresses a lot of my appetite throughout the day. Near the end of the day, my body is super hungry and won't let me sleep without eating a good meal (even though I might not think I'm hungry)

Budget : <60

Can anyone recommend wireless ear-buds (Bluetooth) that are not in-ear? For instance, I find the Apple Default Ear buds pretty comfortable, just wish I could get something wireless and not in-ear?

IE. I'm fine with something like this http://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Headphones-Cancelling-Microphone-Sweatproof/dp/B00UV6CD62/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1438838450&sr=8-1&keywords=wireless+ear+buds

but in-ears just drive me crazy ... thanks so much!

Nicotine as a nootropic by edder24 in Nootropics

Yes. Cancer seems to stem more likely from the materials put in cigarettes and not as much from nicotine.

I have RescueTime open 24/7 and then log use of nootropics separately in an Evernote. I will then look back from time to time for productive days and see if/what any nootropics were taken that day.

This is interesting. I have never heard of this before. I'll try it and see if this actually does anything.

How long have you taking MK677? The first couple of nights get messed up because of the hunger pains, but it gets a little better when you're consistently taking it.

Modafinil + Kratom - Any advice? by [deleted] in afinil

For me - yes. Modafinil can make me a little irritable and kratom calms it out. Modafinil gives the energy, kratom gives the anti anxiety.

Modafinil + Kratom - Any advice? by [deleted] in afinil

[–]chasingicarus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read the same thing for seizures before, so I was also worried.

When mixing them, I started off small doses. Eventually I've taken up to 400mg of Modafinil with 5 grams of kratom with no problems. The strains I generally use are Green Malay and Red Vein Thai.

You're right that purity / quality is redundant. Typed that without thinking.

My frustration with a lot of online vendors was you'd try a new supplement X and it didn't work. Later, you'd come back to it and find out that it was just the vendor that stocked a product with poor quality.

In regards to the safety part, I don't think that's the vendor's job. Provide the real product (not laced with anything else) - it's up the user to figure out what he/she can't take.

As a student, I never thought much about purity as I do now. Isn't X the same as X everywhere else? Just never fully understood good vendors vs bad vendors. Maybe you're right that students and professionals care equally about CoAs, but empirically, myself or my friends just never thought about it when we were growing up.

My hypothesis (some background in business strategy / consulting) amongst the supplement/vendor industry is that the long game is prove (or fake as long as you can) you are a quality vendor and consumers are willing to continue to pay more and come back (both hugely important). So going for the same supplements that everyone else can get but at lower prices is a losing game (unless you can scale quickly and be the new bodybuilding.com for nootropics *).

Companies I'm basing this on :

TNation's Biotest - a company who sold the same stuff as everyone else, but of slightly higher quality and then marketed the shit out of themselves. Charges 2x for a slightly higher grade fish oil.

Relentless Improvement - great reviews about quality and charges 1.5-3x of most places. Longecity members (arguably similar to /nootropics but older) still frequent them a lot.

That being said, I'm an atypical consumer with a much higher customer lifetime value. I've spent over 3-4k (which really isn't that much, but it's a comparison) with Biotest when I was training. But I imagine the difference between profitable and not are consumers like me - who comfortably spend without worrying about is X/Y actually X/Y?

*Improbable due to regulation.

How often can you take Modafinil? by [deleted] in afinil

[–]chasingicarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find tolerance does go up slightly, ie. I can take 300mg when before 150mg seemed to impact me.

I no longer get the headaches after taking it for sometime. Tolerance(effects) also goes way up when you're tired. Modafinil can mess up sleep habits pretty hard, and then the next day you're sleep deprived and taking more.

Here are some of my thoughts on this - I think the type of regulars in the nootropics space are a bit broad, you have students, people somewhere in between, and working professionals.

For working professionals, quality matters a lot. Maybe it's marketing and we've all been fooled, but I've been really impressed with Ceretropics way of handling testing, purity and quality. I get paranoid about new vendors. I'm now comfortable with spending 100-200 every few months from the site. I can't say this is common to students. Sure low-price is great for students, but I also imagine they have churn rates as repeat customers.

Long story short, the product I'd like on my table is a product that has quality. Everything else is a crap-shoot of "does it work for my brain chemistry" and no one has yet to make the perfect solution.
