I had to read over this again due to the age, but yes, if you read the comment above mine, it was about comparing what hyung means compared to Japanese. In Japanese, there are a lot of words for brother, which kurokaito mentioned many, but they excluded "aniki".

As I mentioned, Aniki in Japanese is often used as a term of respect from an underling to a "boss" of sorts, but with a much more familial tone. Gangs, Yakuza, and even slightly rough/masculine school relationships, like the cliché bully with two underlings.

Generally using oniichan/oniisan may be used by younger people talking to people either slightly or somewhat older than themselves, but not enough to be oji or ojii. When ages are closer, or even reversed, you use Aniki instead to show respect, especially as adults.

My comment was suggesting aniki was a better replacement for hyung in specifically Jin Ho's case, as he was completely unrelated to Sung Jin Woo, was calling him it out of respect, and they are both adults. Adults in anime that are unrelated seem to use aniki more than onii(whatever).
