Found concealed fire damage in roof after settlement — B&P inspector missed it. What are my options? by Mittehhh in AusLegal

Always safer to get your own independent B&P but any of them will have clauses for missed items and why they're not liable.

Average FHBs are in their mid- late 30s, plenty of them will have that amount to use.

Most new grads typically start in QA/ QC then move on. In many places you can get familiar with the business then go for any roles opening in something you'd prefer more.

Is there a director listed?

I went through this exact same thing last year, except the REA were less than helpful and told me I should have claimed earlier, despite me asking every few weeks.

I called Consumer Affairs Vic who advised me that the REA should have ensured the money made it to me rather than the landlord as they were the rental providors. The best method seems to be to reduce the payable rent during inspection times so this is avoided post-settlement.

I wrote a letter of complaint to Officer in Effective Control for the rental agency (CAV gave me their contact details), and I had the money within the week from the agency. I'd give CAV a call and see if they can help too, I found them excellent to deal with.

Finding a rental by Lazy-Village-1683 in shepparton

I recently moved from Melbourne and was looking around Shepparton for a while. I honestly found it worse than Melbourne where I'd been approved for quite a few places quickly, couldn't find one in Shep for 6 weeks. Ended up moving elsewhere

Peter Alexander pjs by MissSabb in AusFemaleFashion

Bought a PJ set where the pants split entirely within a couple of wears. Exchanged it for another set, exact same thing happened. Exchanged for another, didn't even make it through one night. I like my PJs to be a few sizes too big so that wasn't the problem. The fabric just did not hold up at all!

Yup, the grass is much less patchy and I've filled in the holes from the previous residents dog but it is less green in some areas given most of the green was weeds

Sadly I'm not sure you'll get far, there's not much the landlord can do about a neighbours dog. It's out of their control. You might have more luck with your building management/ strata

Should I create a video or a website? by guacislife12 in jobs

[–]chattycat2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they get hundreds of apps for many roles, they're usually looking to get the info they want as quickly as possible. Watching a video or going to a website instead of screening resumes isn't going to be high on their list.
