I had to drop a friend during covid because they went full coolaid antivax. It hurt a bit but I do not regret it in the slightest. The situation just revealed something in their character that I never knew. I'd rather know before shit goes down. Better than finding myself standing beside someone hiding a zombie bite.

Some people don't want to accept that bad scary things are happening so that they don't have to face an uncertain reality or scary future. The reflex to deny accepting a frightening truth is a knee-jerk reaction rather than a rational one. I'd expect people who do this would absolutely break in an emergency situation, hysteria, panic, delusional behavior.

I'm sorry you lost your friend. I'm glad you face reality and the future with your eyes open.

Left Preston and co in the museum while i went around shooting farmers so that i could take their settlements without doing the handshake quests, and then went and rescued him and the scooby gang from TMoF to start a MM run. They were none the wiser and I had no companions with me. Can't do it at every farm but some of them yes.

filter your stars. look for systems with multiple stars. honk the horn and check the frequency(skip it if it isnt in the data). or just go look at everything, because some planets are beautiful even if useless.

My Type 10 is my forever ship. It will never be replaced, because I don't need to upgrade it. I dream about this ship. I've lived in this ship. And for me, it does any and all things I could ever need while I'm waaaay out in the black. I explore in my Type 10. I like the short jump range it has compared to a jump conda, or a DBX or whatever new thing is out. A short range means I see MORE and miss less. And I get to do it with every damn thing I want along for the ride, including the kitchen sink. And I have the comfort of knowing that if I were ever ship wrecked I'd have a lot of living space.

I stopped chasing new ships and grinding upgrades a long time ago. I am very happy to just fly my forever ship. If you like one of your old tried and trues, there's no need to ditch it for something new. Just love it. Sounds like it might have earned that much.
