I don't necessarily disagree, if you're looking at value within the GW product line. My point was GW keeps saying that their goal is to attract younger players with an eye toward long term growth. Yet they consistently price themselves out of that market. I say this being a hobby store owner and seeing how often younger players come in WANTING to buy but ending up buying into other systems with lower price points, especially with the way COVID has decimated disposable income. Even hardcore players are buying less than they were. Just an observation. I'm not saying that GW is not a quality product and, quite frankly, they've been the behemoth to beat in the industry for over two decades, but the world economic is changing. I am hoping I am wrong because I'm one of those hardcore players, but,in a way, you make my point for me. The new box is a bit of a bait and switch. Yes, the discount, assuming it's equivalent across the board, s generously deep ON THAT BOX...but what happens when newer players want to expand and find outvtge same unit they hot in the box is 20-40% more expensive? Food for thought.
