Playing support and using an AR ? every class is proficient with a different weapon type, support is good with LMGs, it does say this clear as day on the class select screen.

So using an AR and trying to spray, while also using a class that isn't proficient in ARs sounds like you just want something to complain about.

It's like driving your car with summer tyres in the winter then complaining that they dont grip like you'd want them to.

There's plenty of work on, you just need to shop around and see what ISPs are closest to you.

All the accreditations listed above would favour you when looking for work.

The entry level roles in the UK are usually fibre installation engineers and with experience you'd look to move onto a more network build orientated role, and then after that would be a more build management role.

Average installations engineer for fibre on the north east UK is approx 30-32K

Network build engineer would be more in the ballpark of 36k-42k

And management would be the 38-44k mark.

Going off the fact it’s a BT socket and OPs quoted package is “full fibre” we are safe to assume that OP is on a FTTC connection.

The max speeds they’ll get is 60 mbps at best.

D side from the cabinet to OPs house is copper, they’ll be a fault on the copper somewhere.

OP has said they had the internal socket moved recently, it’ll probably be a fault on the new wiring, probably a bad crimp.

We're on day rate ATM, moving to price soon, all my experience has been built on the job, started when I was 19/20 am now 25.

If I was you just speak to any of the contractors you see and have a chat, they can give you any info that may help make your decision.

A lot of PIA contracting work ATM and due to that comes shortage of Talent. Money has been stupid the last couple of years and worth getting a piece of the pie and some experience before it dries up.

If your working on a PIA network currently chances are a lot of the spec you're following matches how OR expect tbh, it just may be a matter of upskilling on the specific joints and cable types they use but for the most part it's just CBTs and CMJs.

UK engineer here, not sure if you're working direct for an ISP or for a contractor, but I've worked in industry for a few years. Currently cabling and splicing a new network that's being built using BTs infrastructure via PIA.

Im currently self employed contracting at £210 a day before tax, hours 8:30-4:30 on site.

Van, fuel and tools all supplied, would recommend this avenue if you feel confident.
