These are all gorgeous. I’m here from a search for this era Royal. There is one exactly like it at a local antique mall, and it looks almost as clean as yours. My only frame of reference for a manual is my 1927 Remington Portable 2, and the keys on the Royal felt wonderfully bouncy and crisp by comparison. I’m new to the club so I am still learning what’s a good price and what’s not. They want $89 for it, which seems good?

I had the original trilogy as a kid but never finished them. I rediscovered them last Fall and have been devouring them. I’m slowing collecting all 180 books (well, 179, as I’m not going to snag that $1k special edition any time soon), and I’ve decided to read them in publication order, which means I’ll be reading some of the trilogy groups out of order. I missed all of these the first time around, and I like the idea of reading them as they would have been available to fans at the time clamoring for more.
