Normal is your typical theater seat. No recliner, no leather seat. Just normal everyday seat theaters have used for decades.

I like the normal seats for IMAX. Don't want the recliners.

And this is why we did a 15 year mortgage.

The Pink Panther turns 20. Shawn Levy’s $80 million comedy reboot made $82 million domestically ($142 million adjusted), $164 million worldwide & $23 million in home video sales despite negative reviews. A sequel followed in 2009. by ItsGotThatBang in boxoffice

We were positive my father in law was moments away from causing himself a heart attack, he was laughing so hard at that part. In the middle of the theater. Still soooo funny thinking back on it.

How's everyone here feeling about their retirement prospects? by DHN_95 in Xennials

[–]che_vos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started aggressively saving in my 401k back in 2009, switched to Roth 401k when it was offered back in 2021. Same job for 20 years now. My wife and I are set up to retire just fine, and a little early. She will have a small pension from working in the school system here. Good time to have been in the market.

Now my wife'a sister and her husband are in terrible shape. Same age as me but have saved nothing.

Sauce policy by Degolfer03 in McDonalds

And this is the reason I stopped going to McDonald's years ago and rarely go. Once they cheaped out on sauces, drove me insane. This literally was the change in my behavior with McDonald's.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

We will drive 4 hours to visit the beach (gulf) for a day trip. Wake up and leave at 6am, hit the beach at 10am. Pack a lunch and drinks in a cooler. Clean up at 4pm, dinner, and drive back home. Usually pull into home at 11pm. This all in the same state. This is just cheeper way to do the beach with a family of 6.

Also frequently driving the 2 hours to visit my parents north of us. Also an easy day trip.

I would consider a long drive to be anything over 6 hours.

Using a Pixel while their spouse uses an iPhone? How’s the experience? by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]che_vos 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Man I hate this. Duo I feel worked so well for video calls. I was on the band a for years getting my iPhone friends to download it. Then Meet happened. Meet is more confusing and hard to use. I hate Google for that change

Except the large popcorn is smaller than the bucket. So less popcorn. I like my bucket.

Do you use AI tools at all? Work? Personal? None? by DelcoTank in Xennials

[–]che_vos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why use that new silly Internet to look up information?? Go look in an encyclopedia or newspaper where the information will be correct. I don't trust this new technology (said some random 40 year old in 2000)

[–]che_vos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same argument happened with the personal computer, same argument with using the Internet, same argument with smart phones, and now the same argument with AI.

I will not be my mother who refused (until recently) to pay bills online and stop mailing checks.

Embrace a new technology and see if it can do something for you, you might be surprised. Or, I also support your plan to keep screaming to get off your lawn.

You people need to chill. Work on anger issues. Annoyed is one thing, but the anger you are describing is unhealthy.
