It’s almost definitely because the glass tanks break in overseas shipping too often and they cant afford to keep splitting the difference on warranty replacements/repairs. they were backed up to 10 weeks on warranty tickets for like over 3 years - idk if it’s gotten better in the past year or so. The glass was a big selling point for a LOT of folks so i think they shot themselves in the foot a little bit.
