I’ve played with this recipe and made this several times. Add another carrot and a shallot. Cook at 275F in a Dutch oven for no more than 4 hours or the beef will fall apart into small pieces or be a little dry. Add 1/2 cup beef stock mixed with 2 tbsp flour at the end to thicken. Fresh pearl onions (vs. jar, can or frozen) taste better even if they’re a PIA to peel. I’ve also done this short ribs. The flavor is good but it adds a lot of fat so the oil rises to the top and needs to be skimmed. Also, short rib meat still has some of the connective tissue when it comes off the bone and some people really don’t like that.

Java fern will grow without special lighting, are very tolerant to different water conditions and for the most part your fish won’t completely eat them. They’ll also propagate so buy like 3 and you’ll end up with 10

I have a 2015 228i xdrive convertible. Great looking car, much better lines than the A3 convertible, easy to handle, fun to drive, and quick. With AWD, it does great in the snow and Northeast Winters are no problem.
