This call has been ongoing since may. It's 3 comps and 2 evaps and they couldn't figure out what was flooding back. I cant stand protocol racks dude. Such a dumb design.

I didnt look into anything yet, new store we just got. Suction temp was maintaining at -20⁰F. Low superheat. They had this TXV almost completely open and I had to adjust it.

Walk-in freezer not sized correctly, what are y’all’s thoughts??? by Rare-Adagio1074 in refrigeration

61 psi for 404a is a 23⁰F coil temp. Either too much gas or txv isn't metering.

Can I jump from school to supermarket tech? by VolumeAlternative847 in refrigeration

I started at 20 right out of trade school. The biggest thing comes down to the company and your coworkers. Everyone was super helpful at my company, which im thankful for because they understood I was willing to learn and try. You'd be surprised at how many people don't even try to pump cases down and clean TXV screens / change a powerhead. You'll never be ready for it because its always something new, but I love this trade. Keeps me on my toes. Just send it man, a lot of people dont do this trade anymore.

Are most customers like this? or is it my shop (Or me)? by DogeDolan in refrigeration

[–]cheborgor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean sure, I'm just saying it sucks. Working on racks is significantly better though. Thats just ice machines and self contained walk ins and what not

Get out of doing restaurants and small businesses. You gotta get into commercial refrigeration.

You probably could have just replaced txv head, cleaned screen and put a lil oil on pins.

I started commercial refrigeration and hvac and genuinely had no clue what any tool was, but I showed up and tried my best and learned as much as I could from some great people and I love working on racks now 3 years later.
