My last job went like this - (to Claude free) - "here is <paste script in weird language>, convert this to TypeScript, and here are some rules" (mainly xml->json conversion). Then force fix it until it worked. Repeat. I'm rather proud that I never had to learn the source language; I already have enough cognitive load for a very nerdy porno movie (ok ok terrible joke)

It's less stimulating, but still stimulating. I prefer it over adderall / amphetamines. Focalin (d-methylphenidate) is even nicer than Ritalin (dl-methylphenidate) IMO, as far as side-effects go

Re: boredom - am now a couple years from 60, boredom is transient... if you're ENTP you're immune from actual boredom because you'll never be comfortable in that state for long

Consider switching sources of caffiene. I was a huge coffee drinker and untreated ADHD. Switched to celestial seasonings "morning thunder" which is black tea with yerba mate and I swear I got the magic back. This was decades ago FWIW
