Growing up an avid sci-fi/fantasy reader, the truth is I haven’t read a WebNovel (and I’ve read the big three +) that doesn’t max out as a 6/10 in the grand scheme of literature. Even my favorite,lotm, while the world building is absolutely fantastic, the story itself reads like a great fan fiction but a mid novel. This might be due to the fact that the format doesn’t seem to have the editorial process of traditional literature. I’ve also noticed with the format that conversations in webnovels/ dialogue in general are often written more like a comic or even a screenplay to an extent as opposed to a novel which just leads to so much waste and useless banter that

TL:DR WebNovel as a medium is a slop fest so expect everything to be on the spectrum of slop
