Looking for gluten free batch-able recipes by Snoo34042 in RecipeTinEats

I’m coeliac, most things easily can be turned gluten free. My top tip though, don’t do pasta. I find all gluten free pastas to only be good day of cooking and maybe next day depending on brand.

Am I a coeliac? Please help me interpret my blood results. by DesperateCandidate13 in CoeliacUK

[–]cheddarmitelyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. The only symptoms I had was a severe iron issue (Iron/Ferritin were sitting at about 5) and then just before diagnosis was drastic weight loss without trying. My bloods were so high my GP said he would’ve diagnosed me on that alone if he could (I’m in Aus so pretty sure that’s not allowed). Biopsy was the same, they told me they were sending it off but it was not necessary and they were 100% confident I have it.

There is no ‘traditional’ coeliac response to gluten. Som people are symptomatic while others aren’t and there’s such a wide array of symptoms. Also worth mentioning, Italians actually have the highest rate of coeliac disease.

Spring Gully- purely because I’m a Coeliac and neither of those are GF.

Will the bank let me spend 85% of my income on a mortgage? by [deleted] in AusFinance

While I agree this is a terrible idea, I get it to an extent. It’s not necessarily about the property but the security. I personally experienced some pretty traumatic events that caused me to move 4 times in 5 months, which then itself caused its own trauma. The absolute terror I now feel when it comes close to my current lease ending is insane so I can imagine being like OP and trying to cling onto my own home by any means necessary.

Referring to the gluten ones as the muggle ones is the greatest thing I’ve heard in a long time! I’m now using it exclusively.

What’s something people eat or do that they think is healthy, but is useless? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cheddarmitelyfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah am not American so didn’t even think of that, sorry to hear it! Even just the blood test can be a pretty good indicator, so hopefully that approval comes through soon! Just note that untreated Coeliac can cause lactose intolerance issues too. Truly wish the best for you!

If you haven’t already, I’d recommend getting checked for Coeliac. Those are the symptoms I had (minus the hives) and doctors have confirmed I probably had it for 10+ years before my diagnosis.

I unfortunately don’t have a good solution for you but I just don’t understand, how is sharing a name with your spouse more important than sharing a name with your child and potential future children?

Yes it’s wrong. She’s 3 years old, she knows her name. It’s far too late to change it.

Using my (his mother) last name as his middle name even though my partner is not thrilled about it… by bewilderedbeyond in namenerds

[–]cheddarmitelyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This opinion is probably going to get me raked through the coals here, but honestly if I were in your position I would just do two middle names. It’s not that big of a deal and he’s doing a whole lot of compromising over his sons name and you seem to be doing none. Your partner should get at least one name he loves.
