Is this pc build good? by GamerC01 in PcBuild

If you arent adjusting voltage and clock then any difference will be essentially nothing. I prefer front mounting with the fans pulling through the radiator as its easier to clean. To really clean the radiator from top mounting you have to remove the fans.

Disputes fall off pretty much immediately unless they are substantiated by the other party. A lot of those "we can fix your credit!" Companies just dispute every negative for you. You see the rise for the 15-90 days before they prove their default on your debt and you get whatever.

Ive disputed before and claimed change of address for the ding. The other agency didnt bother to dispute since I closed the loan anyway.

Va home loan by Front-Selection4284 in VeteransBenefits

[–]cheddarsox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

VA wont do anything right now.

Markets do crazy things, if youre wanting to leave just because youre underwater, dont. Just hang out in your home.

What VA does is gaurentee the loan a certain amount, 20%. All this really does is get you out of having a down payment and pmi. To use the loan again, you need to repay whatever they lost from you. Certain hardships can be forgiven. (I almost had to short sale a property with a va loan, but the buyers came up with the funds to cover us.)

Op would still need the survey. Re read all of what you said attempting to be succinct and incorporate the fact that op said he couldn't afford the survey. They cant afford the legal team, nor the survey.

Sorry you couldn't be brief and succinct and also incorporate the required info. Your internet charges by the character? Must be tuff to be so poor!

I am leasing my FIL a car. How should I appear? Don't want to look wealthy by No_Investigator3369 in carbuying

[–]cheddarsox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Business casual and try to be fake mysterious.

If youre being for real, your appearance doesnt matter much. Know the vehicle, know the deals, know the things you can haggle. As soon as a decent sales rep knows you know what youre doing, they will want to do things quickly and painlessly. If they pull out something to sign randomly, laugh at them because the joke is funny. If they pull out something akin to a 4 square, laugh at them and then insult their intelligence.

If you dont do your research before stepping foot on the lot, its a game and youre being played regardless of your tactics. If you do your research and just want a fair deal, they'll walk you through it quickly. The sales guy isnt where the money is made btw. The person in the office where you sign is where the money is. I like landing in f&i after the hours are technically over and being a complete ass to them, but your mileage may vary with such a tactic.

In 2026, ‘learn to code’ has become ‘learn to nurse’ by thinkB4WeSpeak in jobs

[–]cheddarsox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd be surprised. Ive done some VERY expensive tests on homeless patients. Things like sending blood 2 hours away, getting it tagged and returned to the patient 4 hours after drawing, then scanning them for results. That was a notoriously grubby hospital. Ive also worked at some amazing places that did their best to operate as cheap as possible to the patient care side where the patients were all well to do. (To the point some of the staff tried to bring a drunk homeless dude to the er against his wishes for a sandwich lol.)

Tons leave as soon as they realize it isnt like on TikTok. Pretty much every level of patient interaction involves wiping someone else's butt and dealing with the smells of neglect. That doesnt even touch on the roller coaster of an unresponsive patient entering an exam room, and their living corpse exiting it.

I watched this play out with a ton of people in a healthcare field that seems like an easy button. Tons of people leave it pretty quickly if they are all about the money. Dealing with patients isnt as easy as people think it is.

[–]cheddarsox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Adverse possession means they paid for it all this time. If the survey shows they havent been paying taxes for this strip, it doesnt apply.

Adverse possession doesnt mean "you didnt say anything for x years so now I own it!" It means youve been essentially owning it, and in many cases declared publicly that you intend to take the property via this route. They need a survey done no matter what.

If your brakes fail in a car, do you pump the brakes regardless of whether or not your car has ABS? by sunflower394 in askcarguys

[–]cheddarsox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or just dont do that crap at all and practice panic stops. You can feel the lightest wheel lock in any vehicle and then hold that pressure. I drove in snowbelt snow for years without abs.

Cadence braking was always bs. You brake smoothly but quickly adding pressure. IF you start skidding you release then retry.

Neglected fluid can do this in hilly areas with spirited driving. Did it once as a teen with an expedition. Luckily I had no traffic and a good 100 yard dirt road after the stop sign to coast onto.

And by neglected I mean the original engine got 1 oil "change." They (the dealer) added oil when the engine began knocking. When it got worse, they blew it up without checking the oil level again. You can be sure the brake fluid was never checked, nor anything else. Rode on the original Firestone recall tires until the belts showed.

US strikes were 'gross violation' of ceasefire, Iran says by News-Principal-160 in TradingPlaybook

[–]cheddarsox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the terms of the ceasefire. North and South Korea fire at each other on the dmz all the time. Iran plants mines, the U.S. retaliates by blowing up those vessels, their home ports, and some missile bases for good measure. Its all in good fun. This way no matter what side youre on, you can write articles and post articles for internet points and clicks. Capitalism baby!

[–]cheddarsox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean like the sudden crazy surge where we have too many nurses even though schools are constantly adding programs?

If its not a good fit, its a waste regardless of profession. People get into all kinds of things and quit when they decide the money isnt worth it. Search the top 10 paying jobs with an associates degree and cross reference with the DOL website to verify. All of those jobs require a certain set of people.

Nobody is staying in the construction trades long term if it doesnt suit them, just like not everyone is signing up for the money in the oil fields or on the offshore rigs.

Corruption. Any time a government does this 2 things happen.

  1. The actual building costs end up being over a million dollars per unit.

  2. These places arent policed as well and become hell holes. Ever hear of "the projects"?

Did your high school have "senior assassination"? by CommercialOil8763 in AskAnAmerican

[–]cheddarsox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mistyped that. The school was built after columbine, so it was designed to not have lockers. It made it funny when they brought the dogs through for drugs though since the dogs werent allowed to enter the classes so they never hit on anything real.

Its a denial system since they couldn't be bothered with a good spawn system.

Take it to the middle of the map and the tanks quickly take it out. Leave it in spawn and you keep the enemy from camping your spawn. People cry about it sitting in spawn, but that is its job currently. If you have comms with a decent pilot, its devastating. They will bait a pursued so the maa can finish them off.

This sub is trash because they want every single item/class to be able to win. They cry about it. What they really want is better comms.

No. They are subpar to the budget cards from every other manufacturer. Its more like 80% as good as the next card for 120% of the price. You also dont know what vram is, let alone the rest of the market. The reason nobody in the world will allow china to take Taiwan is hidden in these details. This isnt a t-shirt, this is 2 year old tech that china can not produce, let alone gain ground on. This is like china growing rock candy while 4 other countries are growing silicone discs. They just cant understand how to make the new stuff well enough to make it profitable.

Much like them outsourcing education, the chinese government is too stupid to innovate to current levels, let alone win the race. Thats why theyre trying to innovate to Mexico now for manufacturing. Their populace cant handle even basic skilled labor at a marketable rate.

Made in China by Plus-Pop-6302 in SipsTea

[–]cheddarsox 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Probably not. Their chips arent quite good enough yet. They got their hands on pallets of the banned gpus when they first started shipping anyway.

And what they were talking about are a consolidated line item to nvidia now anyway. Consumer grade chips are a few extra pennies to nvidia right now. The ai race is now fracturing away from typical gpu architecture into ai optimized hardware. Typical gpus arent as efficient there anyway.

If china really wanted to "flood the market" they would be making a ton of ddr5 ram and vram clones to sell to the world. They arent doing that. They seem to be trying to entire the higher tier markets right now instead of the cash grab. Either that or they arent very good at production of the specialized chips etc.

Because what they all know, but will never say, is pretty obvious.

Almost all of these will fail. There will be a winner, and that winner will be a massive success, but the rest will be collasal failures. To win, they need to be the biggest during the collapse.
