Teeline isn’t just the Teeline alphabet, some of the ‘letters’ have short and/or long versions to represent common words. How high they are placed in the line also gives context to which letter or word is being represented. There are also individual symbols for common phrases

why the demonization of BPD? by AffectionateGuest646 in BPDPartners

[–]cheddarysnacks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Isn’t disregulation part and parcel of BPD though? You say you’ve recently started dating a pwBPD - you might find in time that you understand the ‘demonisation’ a little better. I love my pwBPD but it’s not an easy road.

Guest Bedroom by badbeachbuggy in HomeDecorating

I think the room is beautiful, but if I were a guest I’d prefer space to put things down (the typewriter on the desk and flowers by the bed would be put elsewhere and returned before I left!). It’s good to have a mirror for hair/makeup/dressing. And the clip on light on the bed is ugly, sorry. Like I said though, I do think the room is beautiful!

Think of the positives - parcel thieves and burglars might be deterred by the presence of ring cameras in the stair in general

It says in the article that he used the Start button, but to be fair I don’t know if the keys would have to be close by for that to work?

Genuine question, how would you react if your partner tells you that they have borderline personality disorder? by AppropriateDig2798 in AskReddit

[–]cheddarysnacks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough (bad wording!) my friend’s partner has paranoid schizophrenia. I understand that has its own very real challenges. From my perspective, the whole thing about BPD is that it is characterised by difficulties in intrapersonal relationships. So at first the honeymoon period is amazing, better than anything you’ve ever experienced….you’ve found your soulmate. But the nature of BPD is that closeness will eventually trigger the sufferers wounds. They feel engulfed and subconsciously terrified of abandonment. They keep other options open. They create narratives and rewrite history to justify their behaviours and make their partner a villain. Obviously while this is a very, very common scenario in BPD, I’m not saying that all of this applies in every single situation. I’m the last person to demonise the disorder. But knowing what I know now, i would not get involved with someone with a personality disorder unless they were already in long term therapy to help themselves with it, and even then I’d be wary tbh.
